Day 3: Hanging Out with My Malaysian Friends!!

On Day 3, around 10 in the morning, I was invited to breakfast — and not just with one friend! This time, I went along with a few more buddies, so there were four of us in total!

Let’s give them names: my guy friend, Burung, and his two female friends, Singa and Jerapah.

We had breakfast at a place called Warung Sinarnor, where they served delicious soto and nasi lemak.

The soto cost around RM8–11 (about Rp31,000–Rp43,000) (1.94 – 2.69 USD), though I’m not too sure since my friend treated me. But wow, the portion was HUGE — seriously, it was super filling! The ladies running the place were also really friendly.

About 30 minutes later, we finished breakfast and said our goodbyes. But then, Singa and Jerapah invited us (me and Burung) over for lunch at their place around 2 PM — and guess what, they were going to cook for us!! OMG!

In the meantime, I didn’t do much while waiting. As usual, I caught up on some work for a brand — editing, writing scripts, having meetings, and so on.

Before I knew it, it was already 1:30 PM — time to head out!

Burung had already told me that Singa is an amazing cook, and honestly, she can whip up just about anything!

And look at this — doesn’t it look absolutely delicious?!

I ended up eating almost half of the veggies, three pieces of chicken, and two prawns — all without adding more rice, since my goal was to load up on protein. Haha, it was so good!

After the meal, they offered me a variety of snacks to try — and not just local ones, but treats from all over the world, like Japan, China, and more. It honestly felt like I was at a little snack shop! Hahaha.

Burung and I didn’t stay too long there — after the meal, we headed back. By around 3 PM, we were already home again.

I got back to my work, and so did Burung.

Later on, around 6 in the evening, I decided to go for a swim.

Luckily, Burung’s place has both a gym and a pool, so I thought — why not give them a try, right?

The building is still pretty new — Burung himself has only been living here for about a year. It’s not too crowded yet, which is nice. There are several pools (more than two!), a kids’ playground, and even two gyms. Everything comes complete with showers and changing rooms.

I warmed up at the gym for about 30 minutes.

Then I continued with a swim for about 20 minutes.

After that, I just changed into fresh clothes and headed back up to the unit to take a shower.

Honestly, I was in such a rush! I had a photoshoot scheduled at 8 PM.

After getting ready, I arrived at the location right on time. There, I met the team from Blackpepper Studio — four amazing professionals who often work with famous artists like Dato Siti Nurhaliza, Melly Goeslaw, and many others.

First, I got my makeup done — it took about 20 minutes.

After that, I had my hair done — it took about 10 minutes.

Then it was time to change outfits! I created four different looks here, and not just with the clothes — my hairstyle and makeup were switched up each time too.

Around 10:30, the photoshoot finally wrapped up. We then hung out at the studio for a bit, chatting and enjoying some cake — since it happened to be the birthday of the amazing makeup artist!

It was a little past 11 when I finally booked a Grab, and I got back to Burung’s place around 11:30 PM. I had to pack up since tomorrow morning Burung and I are heading to Langkawi! Our flight is at 9:25 AM, so we’ll be leaving here by 7.

See you tomorrow!!
