Honestly!! I only went to two main destinations here—the beach and George Town. The rest of the time, I was just strolling around because the weather was so hot that it made me feel too lazy to go out much.
George Town
George Town feels like a touristy area with lots of souvenir shops, authentic photo spots, and family-friendly attractions. This is pretty much the vibe you'll get there!

The heat was on another level—world champion level hot! 🔥😅

Let’s grab some ice cream first! The price was around Rp8,000 to Rp15,000 (about $0.50 to $1)—I forgot the exact amount.

Beach Day
On the following days, I headed to one of the beaches using public bus transportation. The beach I visited was Tropical Public Beach. I chose this beach because it’s known to be relatively quiet—perfect for relaxing and daydreaming. There’s no entrance fee, and if you want to try kayaking, it’s available for around Rp150,000 (about $9) for 30 minutes. The sand is white, and there are plenty of shaded spots under the trees where you can just chill. It’s quite clean—there’s a bit of litter here and there, but nothing too distracting, so you can still enjoy the atmosphere.

So during my time in Penang, I mostly ended up staycationing—hitting the gym and swimming, haha. It was just too hot outside, so I didn’t feel like going out much. But even with a staycation, I stayed pretty busy! Cooking, doing laundry, and of course… daydreaming while enjoying the view from the balcony.

Finally, on April 20, 2025, I headed back to Kuala Lumpur using the same route—ferry first, then train!
So, what did I do in Kuala Lumpur?
It’s the last city before heading back to Indonesia…
Let’s see!! 🇲🇾✈️
