HA LONG BAY, VIETNAM

Our last day in Vietnam is April 7, 2025. Today, we’re going on a cruise tour with Amethyst Cruise Ha Long Bay. Tickets can be purchased through tiket.com, Klook, or other travel apps. The price is around $69 per person, and the best part is — everything is included in that price! Let’s talk about it!

- Shuttle Hanoi- Ha Long Bay VIDEO SHUTTLE

Around 7 a.m., we were picked up by this exclusive shuttle. The journey takes about 2 to 3 hours. I brought a small backpack with just a change of clothes, just in case we get wet during the trip.

- Arrived at Amethyst Cruise

We arrived at the meeting point around 9:25 a.m. There were restrooms and also a place to eat available here.

Around 10:00 a.m. we were invited to board and warmly welcomed by all the crew members.

Before the boat departed, the tour guide explained a few important things, such as meal times, the menu, the itinerary, and other details.

I’m going to take you on a little tour around the boat — let’s take a look!

On this floor, there are restrooms, shower rooms, sinks, and also a balcony.

Going up to the second floor — even though the weather was cloudy, we could still enjoy the surrounding views and relax.

- Lunch

Around 11:00 a.m., we were told to gather downstairs for lunch. It was served buffet-style, just like at a wedding reception — you could eat whatever you wanted, as much as you wanted, until you couldn’t move! 😄

The food was absolutely delicious — there was seafood, sushi, fried rice, chicken, and much more. In my opinion, the flavors really suited the Indonesian palate. No wonder I kept going back for more... and more... and more!

- Cave Visit

While we were having lunch, the boat continued sailing toward the cave. Upon arrival, we were guided by a tour guide who explained the history and details of the site.

Sung Sot Cave, located in Ha Long Bay, Vietnam, is one of the most famous and stunning caves in the area. Its name means "Surprise Cave," because visitors are often amazed by the beauty and uniqueness of the stalactite and stalagmite formations inside.

The cave is divided into two large chambers, each filled with natural limestone formations that resemble animals and various objects. The lighting inside the cave reflects off the rocks, creating a magical and dramatic atmosphere — making Sung Sot Cave a must-visit destination for anyone exploring Ha Long Bay.

Inside the cave, it’s incredibly spacious and cool. The lighting from various angles adds to the atmosphere, making the cave look even more beautiful and captivating.

We had to climb up and down stairs before and after visiting the cave. It was a bit tiring because there were quite a lot of steps. There are also some stalls selling souvenirs, fruits, and even photo services. Don’t worry, there are public restrooms available in this area as well.

- Kayaking

After visiting the cave, we returned to the boat to continue with a few more exciting activities. There were speedboats, kayaking, and other fun options. We were given about 30 minutes to explore the area. Kayaking was for two people, so I teamed up with someone from Germany named J. I also met a few other people and made some good friends, including two women from Brazil. KAYAKING

- Titop Island

Next, we headed to Titop Island, arriving around 3:00 p.m. We had about an hour here. You could either relax on the beach or hike up to the hill.

After climbing the stairs for about 15-20 minutes, I finally reached the top of the hill and was greeted by this stunning view!

The beach was like any other, with white sand, but there were so many visitors at that time. I wasn’t really interested in going to the beach and also forgot to take any photos.

Around 4:00 p.m., it was time to head back to the boat and make our way to the first port. And that was the end of the trip!

Around 6:00 p.m., we arrived at the port and were ready to head back to Hanoi. The crew bid farewell to all the passengers, starting with the tour guide, the captain, and even the chef!

*Catatan

We were picked up here in a minibus, and it was very comfortable!

We arrived at the hotel around 9:00 p.m. and rested as we knew that our vacation in Vietnam was coming to an end. My two friends would be heading back to Indonesia, while I would continue my journey solo to Malaysia!
What’s next? Let’s see!!!
