Love the reaction. This was based off a real story, you should look it up when you get a chance. The crazy part is some of the stuff was downplayed in the movie, for example, they say Tommy was actually wilder in real life lol.

The reason why they’re distancing themselves from his family is because of her big mouth and instability. She is there Achilles heel. They know that she’s unstable emotionally, and because they’re on parole, they cannot be around an unstable woman who just did inside the jail, risking her husband to that CEO who saw the drugs she threw at him saying, let your girlfriend do it. If she was stable and “knew her place” she would be fine, but she has proven herself to not only be an outsider who married inside the families, her being full Jewish, there is a certain distance because of the old mafia before them Meyerland who worked with Al Capone in the 20s, 30s during provision. She is trouble. And they also know he is trouble. Polly obviously knows that he is a drug addict that is selling drugs inside the prison. Nothing would get by Polly.
