2024-09-21 01:16:07 +0000 UTCIt definitely has a lot to do with it being on Apple tv. So many great shows on that platform that don’t get spotlight. Thankfully Ted Lasso is on DVD now, so we can spread the joy as easily as lending out the DVD to a friend.

2024-09-20 06:20:39 +0000 UTCPenultimate episode! So bittersweet Man, you really notice something new every time you watch. I never noticed that after Jade disappears, Nate looks up at the ceiling. Where tf did he think she’d gone? 😂 “WHERE THE FUCK ARE MY WINGS ROY AEHHHHH” will never not make me laugh out loud. So much comedy this episode to counter balance all that heavy hitting emotion of the last 30 mins of the ep. I swear I just cry through the whole last half of the episode. I absolutely loved meeting Jamie’s mom. She had to be wonderful to raise the great guy that was hiding under that shell of an Ego he developed. I was also lowkey really happy to learn that after she kicked Jamie’s asshole dad to the curb she found the most wholesome man to marry, who apparently loves Bake Off. The moment we see his dad, realize he’s in rehab, and see that pride in his face hits so hard every time. Jamie let go of the anger, and his dad is actually trying. What a great first step to healing. Ted’s & Dottie’s scene is SO MUCH. The years of repression that finally cracked is monumental. Idk why, but the line “Fuck you for making me feel like I had to pretend too” gets to me the hardest. I think we’ve all been there - a little kid trying to hold things in & make things easier bc we see a struggling parent who’s only human & trying their best. Then to hear Ted whisper in the smallest voice that he’s terrified of Henry leaving him, just like everyone else in his life, but it would hurt so much mode b/c this is the very person Ted loves the most - it just shatters the heart, man. Fuck, I’m still sobbing rn. I can’t with this show sometimes 😅 Fuck you for making me sob through this again, Frank. And thank you for letting us join in on your Ted Lasso journey & sharing pieces of yourself. ❤️

The show will be complete with the next episode, but not over; it will never be ‘over’ because those of us who love the Ted Lasso world will carry it in our hearts forever. I have rewatched the show many times but I it has been a special joy watching you, with each episode, discover the perfection that is Ted Lasso. The first time we watch Ted Lasso is a gift. The second, third, …fourth…time we watch is a celebration! Please keep us posted on your experience with sharing it with your wife! I am amazed at how many people have not even heard of Ted Lasso 😱😱😱! I think it has a lot to do with it being available only on Apple TV. A friend recommended it to me and I pay it forward by gifting as many people as I can with the knowledge that perfection in a tv series exists. ❤️❤️❤️ to the geniuses that created this masterpiece.

It's by the incredible Sam Ryder who got famous on Tik Tok during lockdown, singing covers of big artists songs. He was catapulted into the spotlight, and chosen to represent the UK in the Eurovision Song Contest, where he met Hannah Waddingham (AKA Rebecca Welton) who was presenting the show. He was then asked to write this song for Ted Lasso, a show he was a real fan of, and one of his heroes, Brian May of Queen, even played the guitar solo on the song. His story is a real rags to riches one, which kind of mirrors that of Richmond FC. 2024-09-18 19:50:22 +0000 UTCThat Jamie crying monologue always makes me cry & laugh all that the same time cause I so relate to Jamie’s overwhelming feelings but knowing Phil Dunster (Jamie) he 100% upped the voltage to make Brett Goldstein (Roy) break character 🤣 Also I am 1000% Coach Beard when it comes to bringing Nate back 😂 that betrayal cut too deep

2024-09-18 15:07:24 +0000 UTCThe "this therapist must be doing you some good" line is so great. Dotty recognizes the impact and healing needed for Ted to have this conversation with her. We end up carrying around the things we don't communicate, even when we don't realize or acknowledge it. Ted held that one for so very long and you can hear the relief when he finally lets it go.
