“Soft words”🧡

I’m so obsessed with this scene! I’ve watched it more than 20 times. I even downloaded the music and I’ve been listening to it on repeat. Louises’ monolog to Claudia. Such proclamation of love, such vulnerability, so pure, so DESPERATE, so convincing. Jacob Anderson delivery is just breathtaking! The color, oh the color 😭🧡 The close up camera! Everything! Perfection!!

***Ps. thanks for all your responses on the last video (2x1) in the comment section. I’ve read them all and will response soon🧡***

couldn’t agree more, everything about it is so beautiful and moving, I can’t usually cry but it bought tears to my eyes. the acting blew me away!

Perhaps inspiration for a painting? :)

1000% agree with you all these characters are so complex. I read the entire vc and I'd say we don't have any two dimensional characters at all and our villains are mostly victims of their own nature or stupidity or bravado or just victims of their circumstances it's pretty fascinating

Gaica

it's heartfelt and then some more, just you wait till a few eps later...pretty sure this moment will be echoed in the next season

jacob does such a phenomenal job in this scene, but the music... oh the music just elevates it to a whole other level. this show is unlike anything else

Bonnie

it was amazing!! omg and Claudia's lil face as she's listening <3 that scene really had an impact on me as well

What a great scene and I think that piece of music is my favorite of the whole series so far. So beautiful

I don't think you're wrong necessarily. Louis is very self serving as a vampire. Think about how everyone has to bend to his wants and needs and walk on egg shells for him. I just think he might have been trying to convince himself.. To rid himself or move on from Lestat... But again.. about him.. and his demons. Not Claudia. He INTENDED well but ultimately the little narcissism demon in the back of his head showed his ugly head. They are all selfish in different ways. Louis is lower key about his toxicity. But it is there. Time will tell if he can recognize this flaw and work on himself. . . BECAUSE one of his redeeming qualities is his willingness to want to understand. This is the brilliance of the show and Anne Rice's writing. The nuanced characters who live in the grey. Which is why it feels so real when you read the books IMO. Because we all, all of us, live in the grey..

The best scene of episode 1 :’)))

I feel like that speech was for his benefit as much as he was saying for Claudia's sake. Every word he said right there I feel was also meant for himself especially after watching everything that happens up to that point in the show and afterwards. His guilt over lestat, his depression, his own destructive thoughts, this was meant for himself more than it was meant for Claudia and I think that's also why he was seeing Lestat there because Lestat is an intrinsic part of him at least. That's what I think personally

I do so love obsession with beauty, those indescribable moments that touch our spirit so much that it fuels us to desire that experience to reaffirm its beauty within us.

The way that you appreciate every aspect, every minute detail, of this masterclass production brings me such indescribable joy. I get to relive my first viewing through you. I can barely contain my excitement, my giddiness for you to delve further into s2–an utterly amazing, unforgettable experience awaits… how you’re able restrain yourself from binging I don’t understand 😭.

The problem with this scene. Is Louis words rings hollow when he is saying you and me.. me and you.. When he's seeing Lestat right there.. He wasn't being truthful.. despite the beauty and intention behind what he said. It's not true. It wasn't just Louis and Claudia. And that in itself is Louis in a nutshell.

Such a beautiful scene. One of my favorites from the show! This show’s dialogue is gorgeous, I find myself randomly quoting it to myself sometimes because my brain loves it too much (perhaps an unhealthy amount?) and doesn’t want to let it go.

alee

Hands down one of my favorite scenes!

sierra's reaction corner

one of my favorite scenes, especially because of the music. daniel hart, the composer for this show, does such an incredible job it blows me away. and every time i see him talk about the thought he puts in the music he makes and in the story of those characters i realize how lucky we are that this show is made by such passionate people. from actors, directors, writers to composers, costume designers, set designers etc. they all talk about this show with so much love and care it’s amazing to see. and because of that love we get scenes like this, which are just perfect!!!

kai

It's one of my favorite scenes of the second season, I felt my heart swell with hope looking in Claudia's eyes and then immediately I deflated when Lestat was next you her. My Canon is that Louis was completely speaking to her

Valentine

That scene was amazing and the music too, I love that particular song or whatever from the soundtrack and it won’t be the last time you hear it, so glad you’re enjoying this show. I’ve lost count how many times I have watched ssn1 and 2 lol

Martin Gage

It is my favorite scene in that episode. It's so beautifully written and acted
