hii :D another great reaction!! :D agaaain, so much to say... but i won't be long today. I just wanted to say, YESSS!! what you said about TEACHING. I'm a musician (bassoonist) and bassoon teacher and I've been saying this exact thing for years! In my field (maybe it happens in yours too) where there's a bit of stigma against teaching, cause the biggest musicians "don't have to" teach, implying that whoever teaches is because they aren't good enough to just play. it's very dumb. I learn so much from teaching. I've moved countries 4 years ago and i still don't have as many students as I had before and although it was a relief at first (I was a bit emotionally drained from teaching) I now miss it tremendously. Having to think about how simple basic processes work to be able to explain it or have someone else reach it too maybe a much better musician and much more productive and methodical in my practice, which made me more efficient and saves me time to actually go out and live a life (we classical musicians often practice 4-8h a day out of rehearsals/concert times, just to keep fit. almost a physical dependence sometimes) and , that then feeds back into my music making. ps: I don't know that Henry knew about his father's therapist, so it makes sense that while building the Lego Stadium, he didn't include her. ps2: how they wrote Rebecca, my girl, here is another sign of how this show masters a perfect balance between realism and make-belief. They don't instantly make their characters perfect. She had a bit of distance from Ruppert in the second season (he barely showed up... just in the funeral episode, if I recall properly) and that gave her time to heal a bit. But now she's fiercely a momma bear for her team and I think it's mostly not wanting the villain of her life to win. I understand her perfectly, as you did. You know that great feeling when something good happens to good people? She's furious at the chance of the contrary! I'm so sorry again for writing so much. I hope this finds you well!! I didn't even consider that when thinking of the reasons why he kept asking why am I still here. For real. Nate is so freaking lost. I'm just anticipating when he falls and crashes from that high. But not in the fun way, I truly feel sad for the kid Oh my goodness. I was absolutely thinking the same thing. His office and even probably what he was wearing looked very Sith. Even down to the black trench coats later on that made him look like Vader

As someone who usually rewatches shows they love at least five times - there's always that one season or a couple of episodes that feel like a blur. Maybe it's cuz we enjoyed everything else more or we found everything else more relatable.

2024-08-08 01:55:07 +0000 UTCPooh-peh! 😂 I just love Jamie sometimes. That was a really tense scene with Ted & Rebecca. They both seemed to be distracted this episode. Rebecca was really focused on Rupert. Thankfully not in the destructive way of S1, but he had her focus nonetheless. And from the first scene almost, Ted seemed off & distracted by Henry going back home. Very understandable, but it seemed like he could barely focus on anything else until he saw that text saying Henry had arrived home safely. Even to the point that he asked several times, “What am I still doing here?” Must be tough for him. He traveled to give Michelle distance & hopefully save their marriage, and now that the relationship is over, the justifiable reason for him to be away from Henry doesn’t seem to be there. But Henry gave him a little boost, which is great. And to be fair to Henry, he’s never met Dr. Sharon. So, he probably didn’t think to make a lego fig of her 😅 The press room scene with Nate is always interesting b/c he almost has his own panic attack. You’d hope that would give him some empathy for Ted’s situation, but he’s so lost in the sauce about being on top. Fun fact! If you go back to look at Rupert’s office, you’ll see that it appears very Sith inspired. Apparently it was on purpose.
