What are you thankful for this week?
I'll go first -- this last weekend I went out in the country for 4 days to hang out with my wife's family and other extended family. It was really good downtime to calm my brain and relax a bit. Family time is always great and out in the country is so peaceful. Nothing but cornfields on the left and right of you, FRESH air, the closest Neighbors are miles away. Food, four-wheelers, card/board games, water guns, etc. It was a blast. Feel free to share with us something you're thankful for

2024-07-31 02:08:01 +0000 UTCOkay...I'm clearly thankfulk that Little Miss Sunshine is coming up..However, I am super thankful that I managed to overcome my troubles with replacing ID in a foreign place and....I am able to fly and therfore will have an off island adventure in New Orleans on the end of October...my last time getting off my tiny islan (whence i lost my ID card) was 2021 in Chicago.

Working from home can be such a game-changer. That prep time, commute time, to work outside the house can really add up. You can do so much while working from home. I'm sure your dog slightly enjoys the shenanigans😄 The other day, I saw this video that mentioned how these moments can feel so little to us but to our pets (with shorter life spans) they can be such massive moments in their lives. Which is crazy to think it’s been that long. I’m thankful that I started a new job this week and I’m really excited about it since I’ll be working from home full time which means being able to bug my dog 24/7 (I know he gets tired of me being his human with my shenanigans) 🤣

2024-07-29 18:52:42 +0000 UTCI went to the local nature realm for a picnic with my wife and son yesterday. We sat in a somewhat secluded area under a tree and ate whilst he played in between us. It was beautiful and made me thankful for the life I live in the moment. Also, I can't wait to watch The Wire again alongside ya! I'm overdue a re-watch.

I am grateful for air conditioning. Today is going to be 99 degrees. I pray for everyone who doesn't. Everyone needs to drink lots of water. Libraries are great for some relief.
