When you watch this show, Remember that the author was turned down 3 times prior to making this manga. He was in a rut and the homie from Chainsaw man told him to "Just be Free". The randomness is what got him out of the Rut, and I believe that's what makes it special. Think about it. This has NO PLOT once so ever, and that's for the better. All he did was introduce aliens and ghosts to high-school kids and left it at that. Whatever happens, happens, and it's the fact he isn't trapped by some larger plot or story arc that he can just write whatever he feels like whenever he feels like it. For once, not knowing what the show is about is actually a good thing. We've been stuck on GG so much I forget anything else important. But the writer is free to do what he wants, and that allows him to be as creative and fun as he can be.
