Especially if you're not paying attention and constantly misinterpreting everything or making baseless assumptions it can ruin the whole experience.

The Dad never verbalized (at least as the show has shown per these 5 episodes) that he could speak, but thats not a lie. The son chose to make the assumption his dad could never speak, and thats on him. Rob is basically saying if you ever choose not to tell him something, you're automatically lying to him 😂

2025-08-06 17:36:37 +0000 UTCalso yichan meets cheongah at the bookstore for the first time is part of the original timeline. when we first see this scene, we see it from yichan’s perspective and we don’t see her face. he doesn’t remember her from that time and only meets her again much later. now due to eungyeol’s meddling they have now ended up meeting multiple times.

2025-08-06 16:37:50 +0000 UTCyall have not realised that eungyeol is an unreliable narrator when it comes to facts about his parents, his dad specifically. literally at the beginning of the episode it shows a flashback of his dad saying just like little mermaid where she traded her voice for legs, he traded his voice for a third eye and he has the scar to prove it. so in two different occasions that we know, his dad has mentioned the scar and his accident. yet it took eungyeol this long to remember the scar. just like he says in episode 2 he never seen his dad as anything more than just his dad and never bothered to know about him. and we can see that is a lie and he was actually very curious about his dad’s life. personally i see it that as the built in resentment he has initially towards his dad as him losing the bond he created with dad and blocking out the memories. his dad never lied but eungyeol is just very unreliable with what he remembers.

After Eun-gyeol went back in time, the past started to change. The moment when Mom, who was trapped in the storage room, met Dad is an event that’s different from the original timeline. Unlike before, the band didn’t form properly, so Lee Chan went to school to meet Se-kyeong. That’s why Dad says he first met Mom when he was 20. He didn't lie.
