Since this show is moving so slow, You guys REALLY need to do deep dive on this show's OP. I avoided it for a while, but after finally SEEING X... I had to analyze what people were saying about the Intro. I pretty much understand where the story is headed, but the bread crumbs are easy to miss. (Go back to EP 1. There's a billboard advertising an interview with X that suggests he never is given a name but eventually talks to the public) Whether you do or you don't, here's a few things to watch out for going forward: 1. X's Power= Since the early episodes people have been saying that the animation changes throughout the world were a result of X's powers. In the future, with Lin Ling and E-Soul, everything was 3D. Check the Intro. It goes from pencil sketch to watercolor painting to full color 2D, then with a snap, it turns 3D. It continues to change throughout, but you'll see early on, there is a montage of X changing through 4 or 5 different art styles. Bottom line is, His power is believed to be Reality warping with the snap of his fingers. Kinda like the Red Infinity Stone from Marvel, but stronger. 2. X's appearance= It's actually wild to me that they've been showing this man without his powers in the Intro. You can never see his original face, BUT you can see his original look. At the very beginning, the doves fly onto his clothes to form the white suit. However, if you look, you can see him as a regular dude in black clothing before the transformation. Later on, at the very end, as he's walking away, you can see him in black again, but this time as his reflection in the water. Looks like his shadow, but it's water, so it's a reflection. 3. X MIGHT BE... = I'm still holding on to the idea Lin Ling somehow IS X... but regardless, I think X is actually NOT from this plane of existence. His powers are like The Beyonder levels of crazy (Shouts to Marvel). That end scene where it looks like he's on top of a building looking down... If you look closely, that too was just a reflection in the water that he's walking in. The perspective is flipped so it's weird, but he's definitely on the ground walking. Now that water.... That water and that reflection, to me, look like an interdimensional portal or gateway. The real him is stuck on one side while he walks around on this plane as X. Definitely worth the deep dive, just so you know what to expect next. Very rare with anime, but this one kinda needs it tbh
