It's not just that she thinks she's not good enough. Kang is a whole chaebol (or at least similar to one). He's not just rich, he's rich rich (and powerful). The show simply doesn’t put as much emphasis on it. But the difference in social status is extreme. It's not as big of a deal in the West, but the social pressure and expectations that come with dating a chaebol in SK is crazy. This kind of relationship in real life would be extremely rare. Normally, he would’ve married an heiress from some other powerful family. So yeah, if I was Ha-Ri, I’d be scared shitless 😩 and be tempted to lie about my BF’s identity. But you know, they’re trying to make the story cute and funny, so we only see the good side of their relationship… But the reality is NO, it’s not that easy to date the rich guy…

2025-03-31 05:52:17 +0000 UTCthe mini side arguments y’all get into are hilarious man. 😂😂 i agree, the ha-ri parents situation was an unnecessary lie; but ik why she did it. it def threw her off because one, she wasn’t expecting him to just walk in there. helloooo ?! and two, she was already in uncertain territory regarding their relationship. why would she wanna introduce the president of her company that she’s got a halfway entanglement with (who she’d also been previously complaining about) to her family ? idk how it is over there, but my mom beside being grateful is definitely gonna question why the president of my company is paying for our vip hospital room lol ! why i’m even chilling with him to begin with (that man was in regular ass clothing, not a work suit lmao). like that’s not normal. you really gotta put things into perspective here. like i agree, but also i feel like ha-ri’s character and reasoning be lost on y’all sometimes. it can be frustrating to watch at times tho.

I understand her because I handwashed my clothes or didn't at all then when I met a girl who accepted me for me even though she had 2 story house while I was was living in a camper, my grandma's room with four. So I understand feeling like your not enough in front of a rich/modern family
