He shouldve found a job instead of stealing. And yes I get that some people have a hard time in life, but dude himself said he's done like over 20 crimes or something like that, that's no excuse.

Also, if anything the decision to keep the action for the second half is VERY MUCH MCU.

If there’s no action and the scenes you got instead were bad I’d understand, but if you like the character of Matt Murdock this show is fire. 2025-03-21 02:04:06 +0000 UTCAlso HEAVILY disagree with connecting this show to the rest of the Marvel stuff, I feel like the moment it does that, it's going to lose it's essence of what DD is supposed to be, he is a street level vigilante, bringing him into the Multiverse BS would not work in my opinion. Also knew you guys were not gonna like the pace but I also don't mind it because it's letting our characters actually be human and sit in their grief or anger, for Fisk Vanessa holds the same importance as Foggy did for Matt so him being on the verge of losing her is just as much a struggle for him as Matt dealing with Foggy's loss, and I love seeing Fisk genuinely scared of something. I do agree that Matt's relationship with this therapist is a little stale, and I'm not feeling anything.

2025-03-21 00:57:21 +0000 UTCThe question was never if he did the crime and deserved jail time, it was WHY??!! Why did he steal? He stole because he was hungry and the system does not give him enough food to live off on. I remember having a discussion similar like this in my ethics class in College, basically the question presented was "If someone steals a loaf of bread from a convenience store because they are starving, who really is in the wrong?" The answer always comes down to the system is wrong, the system is built to where you either starve to death and die or your locked away for the rest of your life because you did illegal things to make sure you didn't starve to death and die, it's a system meant to eliminate you one way or the other but never to sustain you. You'd be amazed how much the rates for little crimes like petty theft from stores would actually go down if people were actually given the proper means to live. That's what they are trying to convey with that man's story, and it's all supposed to tie in to Matt trying to let the system dispense justice but deep down knowing that the system is what creates the most problems and that was one of the main reasons he became DD in the first place, and it still didn't change even after he gave it up. My only issue with that story plot is that they had him come right out the gate with a heavy asshole personality so they made it very hard to sympathize with him, basically the exact opposite of Hector.

It's not like he can't fuck shit unfortunately for her. He could end her Queenpin shit whenever he wants. His character really hasn't changed all that much publicly Fisk is Working by the book and doing illegal shit behind the scenes. They showed his bloody knuckles in the second episode so presumably he's been fucking up Adam since then. Obviously it's not gonna stay this way the whole season because he's a ticking time bomb. Even in this episode before the Adam reveal he was crashing in out before Blake spoke up.
