I read the manhwa first years ago, and I've been waiting for the animation to come out. It's a good animation for the people who loved the manhwa. Apparently, a lot of people love the manhwa since it's gotten so popular even in Japan that it basically wants an animation, bringing in new fans. Plus, the story is pretty compelling, especially when it gets into the entire reason for the system in the first place and the... nevermind those would be spoilers.

It does what it said it was gonna do then gets out the way. Solo Leveling is a power fantasy with an interesting system/premise. We root for a weak MC who becomes strong and that’s all it needs to be. There are sprinkles of characterization here and there, but mostly compact and action packed arcs.

Like tropes and homages, callbacks of the likes.. This show is dope to me and I see it for all the influences that inspired it. Hell, I actually LOVE the play on HxH's arc because THIS episode is what that entire arc was missing in HxH (IMO). Just straight carnage to the Nth degree. I enjoyed Invincible Thursdays followed by SOLO Saturday this season, it was a good 1-2 punch to end my weeks. Looking forward to this for the rest of it's time!

The Manwa is a lot more detailed oriented and explains a lot more than the light novel, but the anime adopts from the light novel series. So alot of small material is skipped but it overall doesn't change the storyline. Idk if they will explain it next episode
