We're just figuring some things out in terms of shooting it and still largely learning how to play the game.
Since we've started watching YUGIOH weve been obsessed with the card game at the studio.
We're open to any suggestions you guys may have on playing the game, using certain cards, rules, how the video is shot. We want all of your feedback so we can make these better for you and put it out to the rest of the world.
We have been experimenting on Duel Masters and Duel Links but we find playing in person with the real cards is far better!

When Jerry used Drowning Mirror Force, it says "when an opponent DECLARES an attack" not "when an opponent attacks"... so that means that the trap card activates as soon as the attack is **declared**, not when the attack is completed. So Jerry's monster would/should have still been on the field, not destroyed.

Faking or Bluffing like you got that shit on you is actually a great way to gain an advantage. I saw Pat do a little of this and it reminds me of how I try to play sneaky on Master Duel. Harder to do on digital lol

(Read the card, it does DOUBLE PIERCING dmg, WHICH MEANS My attack minus your defense x2. Pat cooked him in one turn 😆) I was gonna say a while back that if you guys were gonna play, you should have just played one of the video games on Mobile, that way you can easily stack cards, make decks, and most importantly... UNDERSTAND THE RULES! 😆 It's not that serious lol! I truly do appreciate this little treat right here!

Also it was unlucky because the drowning mirror force sends all attacking monsters to the deck, if it was specifically targeting just the blue eyes chaos I think it's effect would negate the trap

Idk if yall planning to release this on youtube, but regardless, my feedback would be to add the story of how everyone build their decks! What were yall thought processes when building their deck, their strategies, favorite cards, etc. Like, the story of how Pat had the “Harpy Lady” in his deck despite yall made fun of it in during the reactions, did Pat specifically search for “Harpy Lady” because of Mai Valentine, or maybe he thought it was a good combo card (like during Yugi vs Mai), or maybe there were no other good cards left? Lol either way, I NEED THE BACKSTORIES!!!! Also, are the decks prebuilt or did you buy small packs and combine them? Or maybe it’s RTTV’s and everyone chose their cards from the bought deck? Anyway, keep up the good work. Also I like how Wellz is basically Yugi here giving everyone advice lol. I hope you guys are having fun playing the game just as I did watching yall learn & play.

2025-03-03 02:43:26 +0000 UTCLove to see y'all picking up the game and here are a few tips as someone who's played for years based on the plays I saw. 1. You can only normal (or tribute) summon a monster into face-up attack position or face-down defense position. To summon into face up defense it has to be some form of special summon. 2. Even though it doesn't negate the attack (Drowning Mirror Force), that attack would not go through. This is because of the order the turn resolves in. First your opponent declares an attack; at this point you or your opponent can activate any cards or effects in response to declaring that attack. If there are no effects activated, you would then move to damage calculation. This is where you would lose life points. 3. Jerry forgot the second effect of Nimble Momonga. When your first one died (even though it shouldn't have lol) you could have immediately pulled two more from your deck. This is good for two reasons. One it thins out your deck so you are more likely to draw cards you actually need in the moment. It also nets you two monsters on the field plus the potential to get 2k more life points when they're destroyed. 4. The purpose of Forbidden Chalice usually is to negate the opponents effect because its so strong it wont matter that you gave it an extra 400 atk. For instance, say you have a monster with 3000 atk vs your opponents monster with 2500 atk. However that monster has the effect it cant be destroyed by battle. Youd use forbidden chalice to negate its effects, so now it has 2900 atk but it can be destroyed by battle until the end of the turn.

I googled it and it seems to be “Blue-Eyes Chaos Dragon” instead of “Blue-Eyes Chaos MAX Dragon”. Anyway, I got a hypothetical scenario question for Yugioh masters here: - (1.) If Jerry had no monsters on the field - (2.) Pat’s summoned monster is the “Blue Eyes Chaos MAX Dragon” & commences direct attack - (3.) Jerry activated “Drowning Mirror Force” Q: Will the Blue-Eyes effect negated the trap card as it says “Your opponent cannot target this card with card effects” or will it still be reshuffled into the deck?

2025-03-02 23:30:56 +0000 UTCDefinitely recommend doing it via YUGIOH MASTER DUEL GAME, there was a streamer called Sykkuno that did it for a while and made more entertaining that watching physical card game - Also you guys would have time to practice in your own time on the game and the game would allow you to set up insane combos, "uno reverse" like moments and give silly anime moments where you over explain like main characters haha (Admittedly I am posting this before watching this vid so I may be wrong but I am hyped to see the humour coming out from you guys whilst duelling, I think Jerry will get proper into character and so will Wells but Wells will ultimately be a mastermind troll at it - Basically Pegasus)

That's when a lot of the actual rules of the game come into play and its easier to learn watching those episodes. There's also Duel Links. It has slightly different rules, but it'll teach a lot of the game's fundamentals. The game is entirely automatic, so if you can't/can activate a card, you'll know. It's better to start at Duel Links and then use Master Duel to play the actual game. It would probably even be a cool thing to stream as your journey towards learning the game with those two.

2025-03-02 21:05:34 +0000 UTCYu-gi-oh is one of the most complicated games to start learning because of the rulings and very large card pool. I would advise you to read up on Yu-gi-oh "Goat Format". It is basically a card pool restricted form of the game, and the game is less complex than it is today. There are lots of websites that provide rules and regulations, ban list information and deck lists for anyone to try out. As you learn how to play certain formats you can progress to newer formats where the card pool increases and the new summoning mechanics are included. Good luck.

(Both of y’all lol) It has to be face down in Defense mode OR Face up in Attack mode. For the card Pat played, he could have played it face down in Defense mode and then flipped summoned (switching from face down Defense to face up Attack mode) and the card would have played its effect like that. 2. The trap Jerry activated “Drowning Mirror Force” says when an opponents monster declares a DIRECT attack I.e the opponent has 0 monsters on the field and your attack their life points directly the trap would work in that way. Just a few misplays so far but, like y’all said y’all are just starting. Still entertaining and expecting more in the future! 🙏🏾😁
