2025-02-15 17:30:55 +0000 UTCRegarding children, Viltrumites are very racially prejudiced as you guys have already seen so they are only allowed to have children with races that bare resemblance to them. That’s why they want to recruit mark but kill Oliver. Mark is damn near a pure Viltrumite in their eyes and has proven himself in combat by their standards. Oliver is an “abomination” to them because he retains so much of his non Viltrumite characteristics. That was actually one of Nolan’s goals, that’s why he didn’t automatically conquer earth, he had to find out if humans were genetically compatible with Viltrumite and that’s why when mark got powers, he began to enact his plans

2025-02-15 03:31:22 +0000 UTCokay so in the viltrum empire there are species that they are allowed to breed with and species that they arent allowed thats why the viltrumites want mark to join them because human anamtomy is almost identical to viltrumite so the kids of the two species can absorb the full dna of the viltrumite, compared to oliver and the insect people because they are deemed to have genetics downsides like a very short life span so viltrumites see them as unworthy to have kids with because the children will be weaker for it, mark will live for thousands of years because the human dna is very similar to viltrumite it works well but oliver will only live like a hundred because his moms species life span is basically even less than the human life span like only a few months, oliver can only live longer because of the viltrumite dna but it wont increase it that much

It’s one of the things I love about this series. Regular villains of the week, nah throw they was in jail. But Viltrumites? You gotta put them in the ground. Sometimes that’s required.
