The basis of the game is basically to win as quickly as possible, which is why I appreciate the drama of the show, as well as why I can't stand playing this game online anymore π

The discussion you guys had at the end basically wouldn't be a thing if you watched the show for the way it was intended to be written. In the Japanese version it was not ambiguous, Kaiba was intentionally going to walk off the ledge.

As I've said before, those same people shit on the 4kids one piece dub but praise the 4kids yugioh dub WHEN THE DID THE SAME THING to both. Heavy censorship, cut scenes and script changes from Kazuki Takahashi's story. I'm looking forward to them looking at the ugly barrel dragon edit in the English dub along with Keith with his obviously removed gun pointed to someone's head. They're hard headed as hell but I'm not stopping

In the Sub Kaiba was clearly threatening to off himself by taking steps backwards depending on the amount of damage he was dealt. The English Dub choose to make it a bit more family friendly by saying "the shockwaves." The English Dub basically changed this entire episode. The ost, emotions, voice acting, dark subject matter, and the pharaoh viciousness to win. You guys laughing at Tea for running to Yugi this episode also wouldn't be a thing because she basically saved Kaiba life, who again was very clearly threatening to off himself in the original Japanese version.
