2025-02-04 02:51:20 +0000 UTCOne of the BEST additions to game since I played as a kid (I'm 32) was addition/creation of HAND-TRAPS. None of the cards in these first 50-100 episodes really work how they do IRL (GX kinda starts to clean that up) BUT like I said, over time, the game became more like the show. When Pat was like "how's that a trap? He played it from his hand?" That's why they created hand-traps. Traditional traps needed to be played face down FIRST, but with Hand-traps, you can play certain cards during your opponent's turn while holding it in your hand. Honestly, they run the meta and each deck has it's own hand-traps that can either be extremely powerful (Strong effects AND playable in ALL DECKS) or specialty cards that really make a Deck "sing".

That isn't the case however and they're sitting here watching the 4kids version that aired on kidsWB on Saturday's back in the day which is gross. This is why I will NOT stop the campaign of them switching to the subbed version, hell i might take it up a notch. You'd think they'd know better than watching something done by 4kids but.....here we are. I like the English voice cast minus bakura and Jonouchi(joey)

2025-02-03 16:57:58 +0000 UTCThe problem isn't the voice acting, it's the voice direction along with the script changes/censorship 4kids did to the story like Pegasus and the battle city villian motives. Neither had interest in the millennium puzzle but in the dub they do. This is why I HATE that they only did 9 episodes of the UNCUT version of this yugioh series. Im most disappointed in wellz but i can't wait until they get to the semi finals scenes. Jerry's observation haki on zero for thinking they're supposed to be pointing fingers at characters when it was originally guns like the kaiba scene a few episodes back
