Yeah but both griffith and guts love each other so much, tbh, we've not got to the end in the manga, but I think it was meant to be alove story between them.

And imo it's worth giving the 2016 series a shot as it's the furthest version of any Berserk media outside of the manga and the animation isn't nearly as bad as ppl make it out to be.

If we try and sugar coat it. Then people are going to forget how we were and fall back into those behaviors. Plus there’s shows out there that go so far as to glorify those things. 2025-01-04 22:05:01 +0000 UTCDidn’t mention this last time but it’s crazy how Guts wanted to be equal to Griffith the whole time and by pursuing that and leaving little did he realize that he’s already been surpassed Griffith long ago, especially after slaughtering 100 men, which was all really just a cause of overhearing Griffith not considering his men or even Guts himself as friends/equals but just tools, for his dream which is about to play into what happens next. Personally what happens in the last episode I saw before anything else as it was my first exposure to the series so I’m more than ready for it, especially with all the build up context but for everyone else, unless you saw that first you’re not ready.

Golden Age Trilogy: Imo the cleanest representation of the manga's art and a quick and enjoyable rewatch of the 24 ep anime condensed into three movies with a lot more focus on good animation and fights. 2. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KqEx-KFeaJE This is a 4 hour vid that goes through the most important manga plots. Currently the second best way to consume Berserk lore that goes farther than the Golden Age, and maybe good way to pack into a reaction, to maybe split into four 1 hour parts or something. Obviously the best way to get into Berserk is reading the Manga, since to date there is still no animation studio that could come close to the art depicted in the Manga. In my opinion Miura's berserk still is one of the greatest stories I have ever read and aside from the perfect art it has no competition when it comes to conveying humanity in all its facets and profoundly showcasing human emotion across a page like rage, love, pride, etc.. BUT WHATEVER YOU DO, DO NOT TOUCH SEASON 2 OF THE BERSERK ANIME WITH A TEN FOOT POLE, SHIT IS ABSOLUTELY ATROCIOUS!

2025-01-04 19:18:40 +0000 UTCWhen griffith said that guts kept him from BREAKING with all the emotions that he felt about guts it shows the fact that he still very much clear minded and the emotion that prevailed/more apperent then the others was litteraly pure petty hatred notice when he saw guts for the first time in a while he immediately reached for his neck in an attempt to strangle him, he genuinely believes everything is guts fault. Griffith’s belief that everything is Guts' fault is a distorted perception of reality, which fits the the definition of a delusion. He’s unable or unwilling to see the full picture, and instead clings to the idea that Guts’ actions are the primary reason for everything that goes wrong. In his mind, Guts' betrayal becomes a self-fulfilling justification for his later actions, such as his obsession with reclaiming his kingdom and other shit that i wont spoil. but in short, yes, from a psychological perspective, Griffith's belief that Guts is entirely responsible for his downfall does resemble the litteral definition of a delusion, especially because it ignores the broader reality of his own choices, and it becomes a fixed part of his worldview.
