They have to be trained in languages, learning other countries weapons, as well as airborne. Their training is like two years

And the training is as crazy as the seals. They’ll put you on the bottom of a pool with a ton of weights attached and make you swim back up. Rangers also get special colored berets vs the default black so people know they’re built different

On the beaches of Normandy they had the mass of soldiers go through while the airborne soldiers where jumping behind and connecting with the others. So that the Germans would be surrounded suddenly because storming the beach alone would’ve probably just been a loss for the Allied forces. The leg bag wasn’t just one guy who lost it, a lot of soldiers did, it was equipment they were trying out and found out it didn’t work. Leaving hella soldiers without their gear and still having to do their jobs. It wasn’t low budget or bad graphics. It was just 2001 and we now have better special effects available to us so in comparison it does look “bad” but it’s just old.
