if you payed attention out of everyone fighting broly, vegeta is THE ONLY ONE who actually grew up on the super saiyan legend. He knows how unstoppable broly is and if it wasn't for plot vegeta is right, broly would kill them all

So in short, Vic (who dubbed Edward Elric at the time) was the OG Broly, and Johnny (the one and only English Ichigo) is the current one!

And yes, to me, he was still trash in that movie. The entire existence of that Broly was trash to me. As a kid, sure he was cool. But now as an adult, with the reasons of why he wanted to kill Goku, I see he was not all that bro. Then they brought him back to be canon in super, and I actually loved how they handled him as a character. He wasn’t too extra, not screaming Kakarot all the fucking time annoying the shit out of me, and he was somewhat more talkative and understanding. I actually felt for him, I didn’t feel anything for the past Broly. The way the makers handled Broly in super was a necessary action for me. Now he in my top 10 favorite DBZ characters. Sorry but the old Broly didn’t rally make the cut.

But It doesn’t mean what you say is right, because at the end of the day you don’t like canon Broly, I clearly do. Canon Broly is not that entirely extra and stupid the way you think. He’s likable to me, not the non-canon version, who got done in dirty and terribly in the next two Broly movies, especially the one with Goten and Trunks. Both of those movies made that Broly look even more pathetic, So, to each his own 👍

Even DBZ Abridged pointed out the stupidity of Broly wanting to kill Goku over him crying as a baby. It would’ve made sense for Broly to go after Vegeta in revenge of King Vegeta trying to kill him and banishing him and his father. But the movie is non-canon, so it is what it is. I love and prefer the canon Broly in Super. Way better than the non-canon version.
