This movie was a comeback from the previous movies (Prometheus and Covenant). They expanded wide with those movies, and they weren't that well received. This is more of a love letter to the fans by bringing back a lot of the old elements into this movie. They were in small spaces trapped with the Aliens. I think you guys should definitely watch Prometheus and Covenant.

They brought the alien back to this station where it killed all the crew members. Also, the AI in the first movie was named Ash and was burned with the flamethrower. This AI is an identical model named Rook. BTW the ship in the first movie was called the Nostromo.

The rock those scientists picked up in the beginning was actually the alien from the first movie. Those tubes on it release a black substance that they use to build their hive. The substance can also be used in space to create a shell that protects them. They then shut down all bodily functions as the shell protects them across space. Idk if this theory is confirmed yet. But since dna is the most powerful flash drive in existence. The xenomorphs were created by the engineers to be the perfect data savers. They could sequence the data of entire species like humans. Codify it into a xenomorphs dna. And use it as an interstellar usb stick that can survive the harshness of space. So what the company is trying to do. Is essentially what the original engineers were doing with the xenomorphs. The company just wants the humans to be the interstellar flash drives instead of the xenomorphs

Andy raised the room's temperature with all the face huggers because they rely on body heat and sound to see their targets. By raising the temperature to the same as the average body temperature they cannot see them as long as they don't sweat and keep calm.
