OK, but I wasn't talking about whether the movie was good or bad. In my opinion, I don't think Pocahontas is the strongest Disney movie. I think it's OK. But that is not the point of the argument that is being made.As far as Pocahontas goes, the movie was kind of spot on with what happened in real life MINUS the romantic relationship. John Smith came to Virginia to colonize it. That was in the movie. John Smith met Pocahontas. That was in the movie . John Smith got captured. That was in the movie. Pocahontas intervened to save John smith life. That was in the movie. John Smith got hurt and had to be sent back to England. That is literally the end of the movie. Where did Disney make him a “hero” ????? The Nigga ain’t do shit. The only thing Disney changed was her age and adding the romance. But John Smith never abused Pocahontas in anyway like rob claimed. All the stuff that happened to Pocahontas happened well after John Smith left to go back to England. Hell, John Smith was captured and sold as a slave and that wasn't in the movie either. So again miss me with the historical accurate stuff on a cartoon Disney movie.

It doesn’t make sense to sit down and watch a Disney movie talking about historical accuracy. I don’t care how you try and spin it ,it just doesn’t make sense. ITS A FREAKING CARTOON. Again, go watch a documentary if that is what you want! Also I never said the didn’t like Disney movies. I said “ IF “ they don’t like them then stop watching them. Mulan was not the most accurate Disney movie, I don’t know tho told you that, but your information is wrong. First Mulan is considered a fictional character. Many don't know if she was a real person or not. Also, there are MULTIPLE ENDINGS to the story of Mulan. She commit suicide in one of them, in another she didn’t win the war and was captured. Disney picked the best version for them and still rearranged some things. This is why it's called an adaptation .

I'd rather them tell the actual story of Pocahontas or not make a movie of her story instead of telling this lie, making John Smith look like a hero/protagonist knowing damn well he was a white demon. As a kid, this movie was alright to me, and I didn't know much about Native American history or colonization because it wasn't taught like that in school, so I assumed it was romantic. Knowing what I know now, ain't no way I'm letting my kids watch this.

I wouldn't want my future children watching this movie because it's a fictional account of what really happened and John Smith was in NO way a hero/protagonist/good guy. Shogun wasn't completely accurate, but they stayed true to the historical events that occurred during that time. Pochahontas didn't stay true to anything.

Disney completely white-washed Pocahontas' story, knowing damn well that's a BS account of what happened, and it's considered the most problematic and inaccurate Disney princess movie. Meanwhile, Mulan (which RTTV reacted to and LOVED) is considered the most accurate historically of all the Disney princess films because they didn't retell her story to make it more "appealing" to the audience. In other words, they kept it as real as possible with Mulan.

Colors of the Wind is probably 2nd most beautiful Disney "Princess" song behind ONLY Let it Go from Frozen. Beauty and the Beast, when? That was surprisingly the darkest and most satisfying stories in all of my early childhood. That and The Hunchback of Notre Dame. Surprisingly dark children's movies and that's why they're classics. P.S. the WORST, and yet the DARKEST, children's movie I ever watched was hands down The Secret of Nimh. It's so creepy that I actually hated it as a kid. I would NEVER watch it again... unless someone reacted to it 😆. But yeah, Disney was actually on some shit back in the day. They just were never truthful about anything they did, because it was such a "Family" company. But looking at Disney now, I see they've always been a really Raw and down to earth company. They dropped the family facade and now we see Disney for who they truly are.. WORLDWIDE GANGSTAS.
