Jerry put respect on Renji. It wasn't about the pumpfake or whatever crap you said. This ability that multiplied his fur arms wasn't even in the manga. This is a big reveal for us manga readers. This episode showcased an extended look at brand new abilities of Renji's bankai that we did not see in his fight against Mask. He used only a couple of his bankai moves to defeat Mask, not even half of what he showed in this episode. That shows how strong he's become. Renji wasn't gonna beat Uryuu of course but he did his thing here.

And what you fail to realize is Uryuu said Renji was still subconsciously trying not to kill him, implying he was holding back. Renji would've bodied Uryuu. denser reishi is an area quincy creates still isnt a cheat code its common sense in the world building. nobody said renji wasnt at a disadvantage they said it was a cheatcode which it isnt. quincy fought in soul reapers and holows territory and SMOKED all of them.

Much like Ep 30, this one was quite the surprise, but a welcome one to be sure as this entire fight was not at all in the manga, while Ichigo vs Uryu was at least 2 panels that showed only a skirmish turned into half an Ep of an anime original fight line whereas this one is completely brand new (both being only about 2 chapters equivalent to NewGen anime pacing), making a more convincing case that Uyru has truly betrayed his friends. Renji could’ve killed him at least twice and while it seemed like he was dead seriously trying to do so apparently he was still subconsciously holding back, however despite that he was still at a disadvantage anyways considering their environment. Needless to say this battle was also not a priority as it didn’t garner any attention since it wasn’t even in the manga to do so, yet they still delivered with this new standard cinema direction courtesy of Pierrot Films. 🙌 Next week is when we should be diving into the 1st priority fight & Ep of the part as the big 400th one of the series for the Mad MVP.
