2024-11-21 15:04:11 +0000 UTC@theHighScore the show makes seems like it could be real. Especially when polly was known stuff about ada's pregnancy and also her daughter being dead. So in that world its quite ambiguous and tommy himself never entertained it but over the course of the show became a believer in it

2024-11-16 14:05:26 +0000 UTCGuys listen, rob is saying that Tommy didn't know Ruby could die when he came back from the mountains, so he should have stayed with Lizzie and his daughter through her last moments, but listen Lizzie clearly has no idea about the gypsy stuff, which is why she questions Tommy's actions and asks for answers from Ada, of course she would want Tommy to be there the whole time because that's the right thing to do. Even Tommy knows that staying beside his daughter is the right thing to do when she is dying, but remember Polly never mentions that something will happen to Tommy's daughter, because if she was present she would have told Tommy that Ruby is suffering from a curse and the only way to save her would be to get the curse removed, which is why Tommy went to Esme, and there he was told about the curse, so technically he found a solution but didn't have the time to act on it. If Polly was alive she would have called it even before Ruby got sick and they would have acted on it sooner, maybe even saving her life. Tommy knew his daughter was going to die 100% due to the gypsy stuff and after hearing what Esme had to say. In fact he did find the solution to save Ruby's life by getting the curse removed but he found out about it too late. The right thing to do would have been to stay with Lizzie, but if there is a chance I can save my daughter I would take it even more knowing that my daughter is dead anyway, no matter what happens at the hospital unless I manage to get my hands on the solution, which is why Tommy goes crazy after hearing Esme's speech because he finally understood. The thing for Tommy was I either save her now in anyway possible, or she is dead, reason why he was shocked at the end because after finding out the solution and ready to tell lizzie that there is a chance he was met with the sad news that Ruby passed away, making all his effort go to waste. If I was lizzie I would be mad because my husband is out somewhere and I'm here with my daughter about die, but guys Tommy would have stayed there if for instance Polly told him there is nothing you can do to save her. It wasn't about him going crazy and being uncapable to stay still next to his daughter, but more like 'I know what this is or might be and know the doctors won't be able to save her, so i gotta save her following my own intuition and past and culture, whether or not i got the time for it because i must'.

2024-11-15 16:37:46 +0000 UTCYou can pray in the room. It's more Rob like leaving for Vatican to get the some special holy water while your daughter is dying in a hospital and your wife is begging you to stay. If it works you'll be forgiven but if it doesnt you left your wife to deal with one of her worst experience alone and denied your kid the chance to say goodbye.

2024-11-15 08:27:02 +0000 UTCI think the "run away" phrasing is the wrong but I can agree with the general point of rob that Tommy is unable to accept that sometimes you cant do anything. It is his "I have no limitations" approach. He needs to believe there's always something he can do and a play he can make. I dont think it means he didnt love his daughter enough or wouldn't do anything for her. He gave all his loot and went through a traumatic experience for his son and I think he would do the same for his daughter. He probably would have given his mansion for her or kill Churchill for her. And he tried sometimes he truly believed since to him the gypsy teachings are real. The problem is sometimes there's really is nothing you can do and on this day his life mantra of "I have no limitations" meant he couldnt accept this limitation and left his wife and child alone where they desperately needed be there with them on their worst moment. So for me both Rob and Evan were right. Rob just used a term that makes people defensive when he started by calling it running away. Its more that Tommy cant stay still.

2024-11-15 08:16:19 +0000 UTCIf Tommy was with his daughter the whole time, Rob would’ve said Tommy isn’t a good father because he didn’t do anything to help her, and find some sort of excuse or explanation to be against him 😂 oh boy. Evan is 100% correct.

2024-11-14 20:31:07 +0000 UTCRob saying he loves Diana when she's a whole Nazi is crazy. Like he has had wild takes before but it's amazing how pretty much every take he has on this show is wrong, lol. My honest opinion is that Tommy should have been with Lizzie and his daughter, I understand his culture and I understand that he is a control freak that needs everything to go according to plan and lately nothing has, Polly dying, Mosely still alive, Arthur on drugs, and now his daughter is sick, it's too much to handle and he is spiraling but I couldn't help but feel bad for Lizzie the most because she had to sit there and watch her daughter die all alone.

2024-11-14 19:43:46 +0000 UTCI think Rob you gotta think about how Tommy truly believes in the Gypsy stuff and he is bugging but for good reason and is actually trying to do better and help ruby the way he was raised to deal with these kinds of stuff and also given how Ruby was acting and drawing those pics and stuff. If my family has a history of this kind of culture, and my daughter is literally saying the exact things and acting the exact same way that my culture has taught me is basically like the devil coming after you I would be scared too, and trying to figure a way out to solve it in the way I was raised in the way I learned how to and I think that’s what Tommy was trying to do.

2024-11-14 18:08:48 +0000 UTCAda couldn’t have gotten hurt in that meeting they are technically allies right there so they wouldn’t have hurt her given they need Tommy for that’s they are doing. Rob saying he loves that girl is crazy because she is a literal Nazi although the actress playing her is amazing. Also Ada kinda replaced Polly and scenes that she would have been in I think that’s why it feels like scene Polly would be great in. Also Tommy knows Ada can hold her own and also is very wise to politics as the show has stated a lot. I think y’all miss some of the crazy dialogue being said even with that convo between Diana and Ada I only really understood it after a second watching which I think this is a show you guys should re watch on your own time a lot has been missed.

2024-11-14 17:30:04 +0000 UTCNah if I heard that my daughter was seeing a man with green eyes and was drawing those horror movie-ass drawings. I would feel like there was some gypsy stuff going on too. That's what set him off and they aren't bringing that up. Is a parent who chooses to pray for their child instead of getting their kid a vaccine out of their mind?
