i think its weird to say this when he already was fully resolved to kill boruto and then die. why wouldn't he do it when it makes his goal easier? its very clear he isnt simply enjoying the time as "the boruto". It's literally all goal oriented. kawaki is like the definition of its not business not personal. doesnt even get to enjoy time with naruto which is the only purely selfish benefit he could get from the mind switch
