It doesn't have to do extreme and exaggerated things to make you uncomfortable and stressed. For example, the thought/concept of a child being born from a corpse, being put on a battlefield where death is waiting to take you and a abusive guardian putting a kid in this situation can make a lot of people sad and angry. Yet there were not 50 scenes or hours of time showing guts getting abused.

There's like 1 part in Berserk that's 100% on some satanic shit and it's DEEP in the Berserk manga ( search up Berserk orgy/horse) if you know, you know.

That doesn’t mean that the series, it’s fans, or even just anyone that watches and supports its other prominent elements is in favor of its demonic themes other than just for entertainment and again, to tell a certain story, it’s simply part of the plot and the plot like life itself is always against us in the form of obstacles, challenges, tribulations, hardships, calamities & tragedies as the main point and show of adversity to push through all that in a darker fashion as the seinen genre teaches, rather than a more light hearted inspirational tone fashion like shonen does.

The tone & nature is the critical difference between them.
