Like, for the FUTURE of "creepy", "horror" anime, this series serves as a "test". If people hate it for the animation, then they'll focus on that in the future. If they can vibe because it's actually just well-written/creepy AF, then we can do more Horror anime WITHOUT the budget. Sadly, a lot of good manga DESERVE an anime... Most do not. The horror genre works Really WELL with Manga. The art just takes over and your mind is Free to interpret it however you want. Meaning, if you want to be scared, you can make yourself scared as you read it. Anime is what it is. If it's corny, it's a flop. If it's trying to be, but it really just ISN'T scary or creepy, then it's a flop... Anime will never always get it right, but TBH... I truly BELIEVE Horror based content is best left to experiences like VR, reading Books, live-action like Haunted Houses, Etc. You wanna be creeper out? You wanna be SCARED??? Anime is my last resort for that. P.S if you REALLY wanna be fucked up by anime, watch Animatrix. I'm surprised nobody reacts to it. It is, BY FAR, THE MOST psychologically thrilling and trippy movie there EVER Was. Bet on that.
