Went in with an abysmal prediction of what the movie was gonna be with very little hope cuz I hate musicals but was very surprised at how good it was. I thought it was gonna be all non-sensical musicals throughout the movie but no, it tied through the movie well imo. 1.) Musical aspect served a purpose which was to represent his state of mind and gave us a glimpse of his thought process during different parts of the movie, which I found creative. Alot of musicals just be havin the actors sing and dance and shit JUST CUZ, which imo is SOOO SHIT, but in this movie I like that here it actually was utilizing the musical purposefully it to peak into the current psyche of Arthur Fleck while also using it to be bonding tool between Fleck and H. Quinn 2.) The music, singing, song choices, performances all hit. Meaning they (Joaquin & Lady Gaga) execute it very well. Like they sounded good. 3.) The movie was mostly regular and not mostly a musical (Which im glad it was) with amazing, superb acting, a fluid sequence of events and a good story all around with some great cinematography I think the main gripe most people (including myself) had with Joke 2 is that the creators went the route of it being a musical IN GENERAL. People just wanted a regular movie, not a freakin musical and the fact that it has anything associated with it being a musical turned MANY PPL off to it (including myself). But thank God I gave it a chance and pushed everyone's negative opinions of it to the side and gave it an honest watch. ......ok y'all im ready for the hate lol
