The problem with Parenting and Coaching often is... You try your best to TEACH people how to avoid life. And that will just never happen. Let me explain... A parent will tell their kids ways to succeed, but they will also tell how NOT TO FAIL. Same with coaches. Do this, not that, and you will live a happy life. Simple, right? WRONG! The basis of all GOOD parenting and mentoring is about understanding the eventual PITFALLS and failures that come along the journey, and teaching your kids how to OVERCOME those failures and how to develop a healthy mindset when faced with adversity; Aka, a "Growth mindset". What shawty was feeling was VERY valid. I was in a long relationship with a girl who ultimately felt the same way. She came from a house where she had little say and was belittle all the time. Me just being me set her off in so many different ways it was just a battle to cope with her new behaviors over the years. Long story short, I FELT shawty in this moment, and I had to speak on it. You can teach a man to fish... But he'll never learn until he gets his feet wet and his hands dirty. MESSSAGGGEEE! 😆 You gotta let people fail, you gotta let people make their own moves and decisions, and if you Truly love them... You'll have their backs through it all 💯 ❤️
