2024-10-14 21:32:08 +0000 UTCThe sheer amount of easter eggs in the first seasons of Bleach that point all the way back to these 2 episodes of TYBW and the ending of the first part of TYBW is pretty crazy. For starters, when Ichigo first asked The Old Man's name when he was trying to awake his shikai, The Old Man at first tried to say the name "Yhwach", but Ichigo couldn't hear it because Ichibei had censored that name 1000 years prior. Then The Old Man stole Hollow's name (White Ichigo), Zangetsu. You saw the resolution of that in the first part of TYBW, when the Old Man admitted he lied about his name. Then you get Aizen, which casts high level Kido without incantations, without using names, in order to defy Ichibei. There's Ichigo's dad, whose last name we now know from the previous TYBW part 2. I bet 90% of ya'll didn't catch that, but if you paid attention in the past seasons, the pieces were there for you to put it together. Then there's the butterflies. Those who know, know. By the way these are not just speculations, Kubo himself confirmed these things on his personal blog and in interviews. Regardless, that's why Bleach is cool, it gives me that "Who the fuck is Tobi??" vibe from back in Naruto, which Naruto itself could've used more of. If ya'll read the weekly manga back then, you remember how fun it was to speculate with your friends in class about who Tobi is. That shit was the best part of Shippuden imo, and we're now being revealed things like these in Bleach as well. Though, some of the writing could've been better in Bleach, there's too much constant "comedy relief". Kubo and whoever is writing the story could really use a dose of seriousness imo, it would improve the story as a whole, I think. Maybe I just want Bleach to turn in Berserk or something cause I miss reading Miyura's stuff, idk, what I do know is that Pesce and all those type of characters have no business in Bleach, especially when they have such trash designs. FFS. And they need to start adapting the fucking books as movies or anime or even manga, there's so much interesting stuff in there. Anyway, that's my two cents on it. Next episodes are gonna answer quite a lot of questions, they'll build up new questions that need answers in the next arc and you'll start to see why people are disappointed with Bleach's ending. We probably won't get to see the ending this season, but Kubo wrote himself into a corner with this Almighty shit, and the solution he comes up with in the manga is trash, and you can probably even guess what it is. Meh.

He was the first being in the primorial world to be like a case with Ichigo. He had all the powers and aspects of souls from the 3 realms, and like you saw in the last cour with Ichigos training in the Irazu Sando with Ichibei allows Ichigo to see the eternal memories of the "original world" The original world will continue to be a big point of conflict. As the story of Bleach is a conflict of religions. The Shinigami are representations of Shinto-Buddhsit-Daoist elements of philosophy/religion. The Quincies represent the Western view of the world. I.e Gnosticism/Abrahamic religion. It's why the Quincies also have a Nazi theme to them as well if you didn't already notice. The whole point of this arc is that Yhwach wants the world to be like what you saw in the flashbacks in this episode. That primorial world that cosmic ontological ocean of existence and soul. No boundaries (different worlds and laws) and thus no life or death. Which means no pain or suffering. Ywach wants the world created by the ancestors to the 5 grand royal families to be severed and destroyed since it's the source of what he views as evil, pain, suffering and sin. This makes sense when you look at the world in Bleach. You have 3 realms all living in fear of death. To understand fully, you have to do literary analysis and look at Eastern Philosophy In the East, specifically in terms of Buddhism, the primary struggle facing people is the cultivation of self and freeing themselves from the cycle of samsara. Those who selfishly pursue things will be forced to endlessly reincarnate and thus, continue to experience "dukka"(suffering) and "anatta" (impermance) until they let go of the five aggregates of Buddhism. In Confucianism, You have a humanist centered philosophy, that espouses, the flourishing of society as being the best good. Anything deviating from this or the virtues of a enlightened individual in society leads to the imbalance and gives the impression of "Evil". that is Specifically to "way of the gentlemen" are benevolence (ren 1), righteousness (yi f&), ritual propriety (li i), wisdom (zhi E), and trustworthiness (xin 15). However, in Shintoism, there is a struggle and balancing of kegare ("pollution" or "impurity"), while ensuring harae ("purity"). Which contradicts some Buddhist ideas of the non-self(atman) In Daoism, you have the Cosmic Yin and Yang. Which is Dialectical monism, also known as dualistic monism. This should make thematic sense, since Juha Bach is basically a allusion to the Abrahamic god. He has the Messiah theme and since he's the son of the "Soul King" this is similar to the Holy Trinity. The Soul reapers are trying to maintain the cycle of Samara from Buddhism which is responsible for the wheel of life, death and reincarnation. It’s a battle for the best possible worlds

So expect at least this consistent quality animation for just about every episode going forward. They had to show out for the rematch that’s not even the final battle between the MC and main villain which is an almost completely anime original fight. A high priority one would be similar to Ep 6 or greater, where everything is fluidly on model. Still an amazing first impressions episode, especially with the new camera angles.

Now granted the arc isn’t over yet so the plot must thicken. After all these years, We finally get the official name of the Soul King: Adnyeus (or as it should be spelled, Adonaeus) who’s an archon God of Gnosticism as Gnostic mythology representing the Sun and responsible for keeping mortal souls bound to Earth. So Here’s the Lore breakdown: The Soul King is a natural amalgamation of everything, the only other one like that is Ichigo which is why he’s the only one who can kill him and why Aizen wanted him to fully mature as the main puzzle piece of his plans. Aside from that, Now Back in Ep 25 as part of the finale of cour 2 last year, Yhwach did an incantation chant known as the Auswählen (German for Selection) and goes as follows- “Raise Them! Silver emblems, Ashen meadows, circular path buried in light. Eye of Agate, tongue of gold, skullcap, coffin of Adnyeus. The object we raise is your heart.” Casually saying “Coffin of Adnyeus” which would be the Coffin of the Sun (more specifically in the crystal structure that he’s trapped in) trapping away light the same way Yhwach traps power, burying and sealing away light, and when Yhwach opens it and takes forth the heart of the Sun (which the ball in his hands resembles, in the sense that it appears like a singularity or neutron star), he then uses it’s powers over light and souls, which is exactly what the Auswählen is: Beams of light that snatch souls/the power of souls from still living bodies and move them somewhere else. He also mentioned other specific terms like “Eye of Agate” which is a particular type of Agate (quartz like mineral) that has a circular banding pattern when cut in a cross section, This could be a reference to the circular band shape the Auswhalen makes before it's activated. 'Silver emblems' could be referring to the quincies, because they always use silver emblems, such as their crosses and medallions. 'tongue of gold' refers to the ancient Egyptian practice of giving the dead amulets of gold shaped like tongues so that they could speak in the court of Osiris in the afterlife. Oriris was the judge of the dead, so perhaps this line has to do with the user of Auswählen judging who will have their life taken and who will be spared. 'Skull cup' could be referring to the use of a skull cup in Hindu & Buddhist rituals, including ones to achieve a transcendental state of mind in the shortest time possible. Basically referring to Auswählen allowing power to be given and quickly 'enlighten' or empower the receivers. 'Ashen meadows' refers to Hueco Mundo/hollows because it mostly consists of endless dunes/meadows of ashen sand. This would leave Humans/Shinigami or the Living World/Soul Society to be referenced by 'Circular path buried in light' if the pattern holds, also refrring to the circular light of the Auswählen itself. It’s the job of the soul reapers being balancers and Gnostic Archons of their universe, keeping and overseeing souls bound to the endless cycle of life, death, and rebirth as the 3 cycles represented in these 3 realms. In the beginning of the episode, he uses a sacrificial technique known as ‘Triplet World’ (universe realms in this case) separating the 3 main realms, in front of a young Yhwach in this chaotic but apparently calm primordial cosmic ocean or celestial river of when the universe was one. Yhwach simply wants to return everything to that status quo for further reasons yet to be revealed, for now it’s that he feels ashamed/embarrassed for the seemingly lifeless comatose state that his father the Soul King is in, being used as a mere Keystone stabilizer and the Quinces getting the short end of the stick throughout history.
