they are bad though, they don't ever speak to her sweetly, they ignore her needs, if she had a sibling things would be easier bc she could relate with someone but shes an only child, her parents never entertain her ideas or interests

"The witching well". You guys spotted something interesting. You said that she was still wearing the clothes because the other side is still the real world. Just like how the witch stole her parents, this seems to be fact. If not the same world, at least directly connected and are within the realm of "reality". Anyway, a very interesting creature I have never heard of. Beldam.

2024-10-13 02:36:35 +0000 UTCCoraline’s parents aren’t bad parents, negligent at best but even that’s understandable when you look at the circumstances. They just moved and while they were doing so got into a car accident which broke the moms neck, we see that they could only give the movers a dollar so this tells us they’re probably hurting for money. On top of which they write for a living and they have a deadline coming up so it would definitely be hard to spare time when all there focus is on that. More things that contribute to the idea that they don’t have money is the food in the house, they’re eating veggie casserole which I know is a struggle meal. Lastly the mom told Coraline that she couldn’t get the gloves and then got them anyway out of love when they probably didn’t have the money to begin with.

Alot of these movies do okay Box Office wise but he supports the style as a passion project. Caroline is written by Neil Gaiman who also created Sandman and Lucifer for DC comics, he also did Good Omens and American Gods
