People complaining about the romance but don’t realize that if they didn’t actually put those parts in there, the shows MAIN audience AKA the people who funded this whole project initially would be pissed off. It plays a part of their character and during the campaign you see it more so than in the show. You gotta keep in mind how much content is actually left out comparably. Also why shouldn’t Scalan try and reconnect with his daughter. Yea I’m trying to save the world where I might DIE. Shouldn’t I at least try and make up for stuff while I still have the opportunity. Everything only looks bad because of circumstances and situations out of his control.

The stuff Wellz was confused about was stuff that happened in the last 3 episodes such as not knowing Scanlan revisited his daughter, he thought his last encounter with her was when Scanlan tried to sleep with her which happened last season, so the lack of memory excuse falls flat there. Or not knowing who Dohla was when there was a flashback of Allura, Kima and Dohla since Dohla died last episode is a kinda another indication Wellz didn't watch the first 3 episodes or just skimmed through it.

(FYI These actors are all friends, and they started this playing DnD out of a garage... I'll BE DAMNED before I okay a romance role-play between my WIFE and my friend, while His wife is caught up with the other Homie, etc. Etc.... It's just a HARD dynamic for me to get my head around.
