Women wanting to change a man is hopeless. A man is nothing without conviction. That is why she was attracted to him in the first place. She even became a slut for him eventually. The pendulum swings. But at the end of the day, whatever Arthur decides is law in that marriage. His wife was ungrateful and dishonest. A recipe for disaster.

You can't just take the action out of the context lmao. We also don't know if it was attempted murder. I for one think she didn't have it in her to actually kill Arthur and would have shot at his arm or leg. Regardless, relative to the crazy situation she is in, the reaction is understandable.

When she saw that he needed it and there was some progress in the beginning stages she stuck around thinking she could really save him from that life. She believed she was doing a righteous deed. Granted she was risking alot and eventually you become a product of your environment but her initial sentiments was to help him Rob: "i didn't say that, if i did then i didn't mean that"

A year later in s4 he was raising chicken in a house with no gun and no contact with Tommy. And beginning of s5 its been years since him ,Tommy and Polly have stop taking part on the violence and they are annoyed Finn hasnt stop too. The only time in that 4-5 year period he went back to being violent was against the italians trying to kill him & his family and kid. and even then Linda managed to make him give up on a personal revenge by making him shoot the bullet outside. The marriage to Linda isnt just her trying to change him with no results. He did live a mostly non violent the last 4-5 years and was listenning to her. After the market crash is when he went full on to being a violent thug for money and was no longer wanting to listen to her to be a better person. And she left quickly after that.

She doesnt have money that we know of or family that we know of and Tommy have people in the phone lines and people at the docks. There’s no reason for her to think she can escape the shelbys unless they choose to let her go. And disfiguring that man is a pretty clear sign they wont let her. She could accept she is Arthur prisoner but I dont blame her for trying to kill him instead or think she is bad for doing it.

2024-10-11 02:46:30 +0000 UTCLinda and Arthur were both wrong I agree, Linda was also not smart in this episode because she pulled up to Tommy's crib where everyone was at to try and kill Arthur and didn't think that possibly someone would stop her????!! I think a good person would date a criminal, but also what you guys seem to forget is that Linda married Arthur under the assumption that Arthur was leaving the business and that they were going to America to live, that's literally what they kept talking about all throughout Season 3 but as the seasons went on that didn't happen and even though Linda hated staying and being in this life she wanted to stick it out because she did genuinely love Arthur and in the process she became more and more corrupt. It was a toxic cycle that ended up exploding in the worst way. I feel bad for both in this situation but I feel more for Linda because Arthur went too far with that guy.

Also while it wasn't just that Linda definitely was trying to save Arthut since the beginning of the relationship so no going out with him doesn't make her corrupt or a false christian because she did not go into the relationship with the intent of adopting or enforcing Arthur's lifestyle but with the intent of showing him the path to redemption. And she did that but Tommy and John's decisions forced them back to the life and when Arthur fully commited to it then she left. Which was the right time to leave, not too late. She was wrong tho for trying to shoot Arthur but no one is perfect what he did was crazy lmao
