Unfortunately agreed. I liked the movie but you kind of have to turn your brain off and enjoy it for what it was. At least No Way Home tried to have a plot along with its fanservice which is why I’d rate it above this.

2024-10-02 18:52:55 +0000 UTCCaptain America is the first avenger cause timeline wise he was born first and came first with his extraordinary abilities, but in our world timeline and release wise, Ironman came out first and when that happened, that's when the MCU started. Cause I think there was an ending scene in the first Iron Man, (can correct me if I'm wrong.) where Tony ran into Fury and Fury handed him a file with the codename Avengers on it. So the MCU and Avengers was first hinted and started with The first Ironman. But Cap is the leader of the team, hence why in avengers endgame, he lead the big fight and uses one of the most famous marvel lines ever. Avengers Assemble! Acting wise, they're both amazing IMO but I do favor Downey more as an actor but with no hate or ill words for Chris Evans. Liked Chris Evans in the movie Cellular, criminally underrated 💯.

I feel like after ‘End Game’ and ‘Spiderman No Way Home’ , they kept trying to raise the stakes cause they felt that’s what we as fans wanted while not realizing that the reason Infinity War and End Game did so well was because it started from ground zero and got bigger with every individual film. I hope that in the future, the MCU dials things down to a smaller scale and builds up their characters instead of relying on variants and cameos.

Until his contract runs out, he’ll be free to leave/not show up in any other MCU movie. But right now, he’s still under contract to appear as the character of Johnny Storm. After Secret Wars, his contract and the contracts of all other stars playing the Fox characters from X-Men and Fanastic Four will be over. They’re gonna reboot the before MCU so it makes sense why they’re doing that. Until then, he can still show up in other movies. Until his contract is over. So, that’s how it works. It has nothing to do with them running him off. He left the role of Captain America, which is why Anthony Mackie (Sam Wilson) is the new Cap. Or one of the reasons.
