2024-09-25 17:43:11 +0000 UTCYeah it was grossly mishandled by the author, he said he wanted to move onto new projects so he wanted to wrap fairy tail as quickly as possible so he allowed this final arc to be completely mishandled and rushed, which doesn’t make sense seeing as he began doing 100 year quest, he really ruined this arc and the buildup to zeref and acnologia finale

If you remember, Yhwach had a vision and only realised that Jugram had betrayed him when he was shot with the arrow. The arrow itself was foreshadowed in one of the Uryu focused chapters when he remembers a memory of his dad operating on his mother's corpse after she had died to the aushwahlen. The arrow was made based on the aushwahlen properties. Not an asspull🤡

2024-09-24 17:25:52 +0000 UTCunfortunately, it felt like the mangaka was just too afraid to commit to scaling the tone of the show with the aging demographic. its cool at the beginning but when the story grew to a point where it demanded that consequences had to be realized to give weight and tension to the plot it was just too afraid to rise to the occasion. we see it with other long running shonen anime like naruto and one piece. where as the years went on you see them tackling more intense themes and consequences because there demographic is aging along with the story, but fairy tail always felt like they were afraid to commit to bumping up the maturity of the plot. which is weird btw because they acted like it was getting more high stakes stuff with the tower of heaven and tartaros but just couldnt commit to important main cast deaths that were implied to happen only for them to survive. In my opinion if juvia, gray, gajeel, and makarov actually all died like we were led to believe the arc would have been much better. it felt like there was never a price being paid for winning.

I do think it's overhated tho cuz there's new gens tht get hyped and praised while having the same/similar flaws. Black Clover is like a new gen FT to me, low stakes, underwhelming villains, power of friendship. Demon slayers Final arc and ending in the manga was trash to me but the anime gonna make it look pretty so ppl will praise it. Can't be hating on FT and then like new gens like those. Jerry loves both FT and BC which makes sense

For anyone whos watched it and watched fairy tail up until episode 130 which is S class exams which did you guys prefer out of the 130 eps. personally i preferred fairy tails, although I know in my soul one piece is gonna get way better and fairy tail goes down hill alot. just asking for the sake of it.
