Mavis is already dead, Zeref and Acno had to for sake of the story, and then you got maybe a few minor characters) The repetitive regression and growth of characters is literally every arc or every other arc its insane, and this is not an opinion here, but the fights are actually garbage. Easily the worst fights in shonen, only thing worst i've seen was Meliodas vs Escanor

While I can sorta see the repeative nature of the story it's the journey itself and how the characters get there, understanding their situation and how they respond in their own way. The seven characters we follow throughout the story all had major development and are completely different people even though the act relatively the same as they always did, you can see the difference in how the approach situations. Natsu's story was shown with Gray and not understanding why he wanted to end the fight with Lyon with a suicide attempt and ridiculed him for even trying it. By the war arc comes around he did the same thing against Zeref without noticing and would've put Happy in the same situation he was in with Igneel's death. And that's why Natsu saving Gray again but with his personal journey to get here and understanding they have a new relationship and understanding between themselves. Natsu made Erza promise never to sacrifice herself at the end of the tower of heaven arc Edolas, he learned about sacrifice and the pressures of living in a world with no power or control. Tenrou Island, his fight with Gildarts made him self reflect and learned about fear and how it can make him smarter, stronger and gentler person. And that lead to him not being as much as a hothead who charge into combat without thinking of a plan as seen with Future Rouge during the Eclipse Gate arc when he even killed Future Lucy. He was even shown to be able to keep a secret over a year and found Gray in the Avatar Guild by sitting down and thinking things through. These are things you wouldn't notice without looking at things objectively. It's a long running series with the personal development with every character in different ways and situations. And is overlooked constantly. And that was only Natsu. We could go into how Erza always accidentally slips back into her old habits of being strong by herself or Gray's trauma and how that stunted his growth as a person and his communication skills and relationship but I think that's enough.

I don't know if they're going to change stuff for cour 3 onwards. (Not going further because spoilers) In terms of actual story yeah bleach is one of the greats but there is an argument that Ft is just as great but on a different scale of judging. Bleach had the message of self acceptance and understanding the world they lived in. Who's in the right? It's a great story and I can't wait for the hell arc and the novel to be adapted Ft is a character focus story and it goes way more in-depth with its characters unlike shows like MHA which got praised for that at the beginning. Just look at it from a different perspective.

I don't know of a war arc JJK shibuya (culling games is more of a war arc) - is ok but as seen in the chapter that officially dropped on Sunday. There were 2 deaths. Gojo and Choso. Hell's Paradise- (I only saw the anime) but yeah there's deaths but it's such a short story we're yeah you can feel sympathy for the characters. Can you say that you're attached? Personally, not yet Chainsawman- (leaning more into Seinen with these last ones huh?) Yeah but that was the only way to progress Denji's boring ahh character. He's learning and gaining attachment but Makima is alright tho. Cyberpunk Runners. Great show but everyone is dead expect for Lucy. Congrats your in videogame territory. Don't you think saying you don't care about MHA is a bit bias. When I'm talking about a whole spectrum and you go to Seinen series and especially those not from the same time or the type of animes FT is from.

Ever since OG Dragonball, we fully know that anyone that dies can possibly be revived by the dragon balls so death in that world doesn’t have as big of a consequence. Fairy Tail death is treated as final within the verse so we as the viewers (even though we’ve been proven wrong many…many times) don’t expect characters to return back to life.

I don't care how much you hate the show but most of your comment is BS and can even be seen in some of the most popular shows like Jujutsu Kaisen, One Piece, Demon Slayer, ect. I get your arguments with the quality of the animation that shit still continues to this day for some reason but a lot of the fans are around for the actual characters, the voice actors, the music, and most importantly the story. I really don't understand when you say there's no consequences or repercussions when we clearly see it in the early arcs and continues to the end for example Gray's whole story, how revenge can slowly turn into regret to depression, severely reduction in self worth. Or would you like me to go for Natsu's story of understanding others and not just taking stuff at face value. A lot of the arcs are not like other animes where there's not a lot about characters. Could you possibly compare anyone's depths to most of the FT cast and how they keep the show going forward. Everyone gets a little bit of attention and grow together side by side so the whole power system works and doesn't feel like an asspull like a lot of shows do feel like no matter how much you want to deep dive into them. I get it if you're just coming back to the show after a decade and don't remember much or the foreshadowing or the parallels that makes this show one of the better ones. Your way of looking at things objectively is abysmal and short sided. But I will respect your personal opinion

I don’t understand where the excitement comes from, every Arc ends exactly the same with no repercussions or real consequences, just some Mickey Mouse power of friendship lame ass shit. The arcs are also horrible, arc after arc they do something completely irrelevant to the story and then shoehorn some random important character that UNSURPRISINGLY loses by their own hubris, like every enemy in this show, but its absolutely stupid how they wrote their story. Idgaf about what random quest you’re on or whatever problem Lucy has, actually progress the fucking story!!!!! Also this easily has the worst fights in Shonen, and I genuinely mean this, thats a factual statement and not an opinion. Oh wow I get to see Natsu get smaller with some woosh effects in the background on some stagnant image as he’s kicked, and then Natsu and the enemy hold the same pose for lime 3-4 seconds and recycle the same 3 animations. It’s so utterly lazy and just a pain to look at. Jerry, i’m sorry, I liked this show when I was 13 dude. I’m 24 now and idk how you can’t take off your nostalgia glasses and see it for the genuine pure garbage it is. Literally objectively out of majority of Shonens it is top 3 worst. The writing is horrible, you never have to worry about the characters cause no one fucking dies or becomes good, don’t worry if Natsus in a pinch he’ll just claim power of friendship and pull something out of his ass, also don’t bother getting attached to the characters early on in the show, because they’ll literally be casted aside worse than Naruto’s side cast. ALSO THE FANSERVICE IS ASS, STOP GIVING ME ASS AND TITTIES DURING A MOMENT THAT SHOULD BE MET WITH A SERIOUS TONE. I hate how this show breaks tension unnecessarily and just ruins the overall vibe of a scene, fucking ass. Literally overall ass of a fucking show/manga, and I hope you guys just stop uploading this shit, because we all know everyone (including the comments) besides Jerry wants to stop this shit.
