2024-08-16 21:39:33 +0000 UTC@Nem Kos Right. The characters themselves have potential. I actually enjoy the main cast and their arcs on paper but like you said, so much wasted potential. For example, Juvia who is pretty much a water logia. How she uses her magic and her initial personality when she was introduced was so interesting to me but then her entire character was reduced being Gray’s potential love interest and not much beyond that. Things like that subconsciously make me take the show less serious but that’s just my opinion.

It’s pretty cheesy and there’s so much blatant power of friendship that it’s actually funny at times but I obviously don’t hate it enough to stop watching. I think I more so enjoy their reaction to the show more than the show itself but again, it’s ok. Just wish the writing and fight choreography weren’t so choppy.
