2024-08-02 10:33:50 +0000 UTCand working through it? she didn’t even tell anyone about she kept it all in if she really wanted to work through it she could’ve sat down and talked to someone. a good example is when she talked her issues out with amanda made it so much better for her. and nobody understands what she’s feelings? really? daniel lost his dad when he was young and mr. miyagi. the reason she went back to cobra kai was bc kreese brainwashed her head that miyagi do/daniel cant be trusted, she is blind by her own rage which he wants to weaponise, daniel tried to reason with her that there are many ways she can honor her mother because she isn't in her right state of mind, she was about to smash sam’s face in like she did that stone, it's a good thing daniel caught her fist.

2024-08-02 01:24:57 +0000 UTCthat’s not a healthy way of coping…again letting tory fight had to be one of the WORST things to do. she has been fighting through her problems for almost the entire show and it made things worse every single time. generally, anger is not a good motivator for regulated combat. this is what kreese still does not understand after so many decades. whether daniel chose sides here or not doesn't matter because he was still right. you cannot let that fight continue. this isn't just some fight to let out your emotions. they are fighting for captain. they will be representing the entire dojo and will have the most spotlight. you cannot have one of your captains suffering such a major loss and especially with tory's reputation? every time she lets negative emotions drive her, everything comes crashing down. nothing good has ever come from it. johnny was wrong here all around. when you have pent up emotions you let everything out on a DUMMY not a person. how are people like you not understanding this..

I got into school fights just cuz I needed to fight someone. Idk if you guys lost someone like that, but all you do is wanna fight. You want to take your anger out on somethin or someone. Thats why a lot of boxers and wrestlers do that kind of stuff because they were hurting and wanted to fight.

NOT letting her finish the fight made it worse that’s the reason she lost it, she even tells them that THEY don’t understand there’s an underlying meaning to that because THEY DON’T understand her only Johnny did, she even says there could’ve been a point at the end meaning she was fully aware of what she was doing and aiming for the win. This goes to real life too people grieve by doing stuff they love. What Daniel did MADE her join Cobra Kai nobody was on HER side

I can understand Johnny's side on letting her fight, to work through it, and "do it for her mom" as Tory said. But I also understand Daniel's side, cause again she is too emotional and dealing with a lot when it comes to her mother's passing to the point she could get angry and do something she would regret and revert back to that old person, she fought so hard to change. Not only that, she wasn't focused at all, which could of costed her the match, if she had continued.

On one hand, I get that Daniel was prioritizing Tory’s mental health and he feared that her loss was gonna make her do something she was gonna regret… again. On the other hand, I always felt that Johnny might be able to relate to Tory on some level. Growing up, karate was his coping mechanism after he lost his mom. Now it was Tory’s turn. As for Tory herself, I didn’t hear Daniel or anyone else telling her that she was out of the dojo. She left on her own accord. If she had explained that her aunt Kandace was getting up to her neck for the welfare check and custody over Brandon, they still would’ve found a way to help her. Now we wait for November 15 if not sooner.
