2024-07-09 23:38:24 +0000 UTCWhy do a lot of newer animes look worse than a lot of the older animes? Probably the production studio, the animators/talent, the budget and time. Why do series get added scenes and with movie quality budget animation with their manga looking like ass and a mid story? I won't pretend like I know the ins and outs out the industry except what I hear from multiple sources. News articles, other content creators ect. But most of Fairy Tail has been a 1 to 1 adaptation with every scene. For a long running show that pulls decent numbers it's kinda weird it never got the same treatment. But I'm still glad it's getting adapted because of the music and the voice actors (when the have a proper environment) and the characters that don't feel stiff and actually grow.

2024-07-09 19:18:21 +0000 UTCWas anyone else confused by this whole thing? Future Rogue told Natsu that Gray kills Frosch and that is why he turned evil. Understandably why, the grief of losing a close loved one can change anyone. In Rogueβs case he mustβve completely shut down and that allowed his dark half to take over. But now that we know Gray was actually undercover, how did he end up killing Frosch? My theory is this: Originally when Rogue went after Avatar with Frosch, he encountered Gray, not knowing he was undercover and thought he actually turned evil. Unable to blow his cover, Gray fights Rogue but holds back a bit until Frosch gets in the way. Now even though Grayβs hits werenβt strong enough to deal a lethal blow to a full size person, they were enough to a little Exceed. So when Gray tries to strike Rogue, Frosch - thinking Rogue is going to get seriously hurt - jumps in the way and ends up taking the hit which is strong enough to kill him. Rogue loses it, possibly kills Gray, and goes off never knowing the truth. I wish they cleared all this up in the manga and episode.

In that moment, he was thinking intensly about not being able to revive Natsu which activated the curse (since he wouldn't have been able to pursue his experiments). He probably had been cursed ever since he started studying how to revive the dead (his teacher warned him about that).

She always wanted to be a part of Fairy Tail, she lost BOTH of her parents, made friendships within the guild which is like her new family, then sent letters to all the prior members for a year but never heard back, and Makarov disbanded abruptly after the battle against Tartaros, it makes complete sense lol.

With her mother dying at an early age, being neglected by her father. Eventually losing her father after the 7 years they lost. Before the Nirvana/Oracion Seis Arc she had a small ray of hope that they could have a healthy relationship again but unfortunately it didn't work out. She was later betrayed by Michelle who told her she was a distant relative of the Heartfelia family shorty after she received the news of her father. Then realizing who she really was hurt but she did strive forward. She met Eclair and Momo created a friendship during the Phoenix Priestess movie (Those who watched knows) In Tartaros she had to lock in and sacrifice Aquarius so humanity had a chance to survive. The bond/connecting she had since the beginning connecting her to her late mother. She's going to have more moments but these are more than I can say as for most Shonen leads go she goes through a lot.

2024-07-09 15:23:09 +0000 UTCYou guys have to remember this final season of Fairy tail came out at the beginning of COVID so the quality of the animation and dubbing is trash. They fumbled the animation for Natsu's Demolition Fist the explosion and the shading wasn't like in the manga. The battle Gods have been mentioned since GMG with Minerva so Erza learning about them isn't too far off being a warrior. Zeref and Natsu's story really reminds me of Aizen and Ichigo but more personal and direct. Natsu is a human, demon and dragon hybrid kinda like Ichigo being a mix of everything. Imagine running into your brother you haven't seen in years, the reason you were cursed and the one you loved the most (reminds me of Itachi and Sasuke relationship) That's why when he first bumped into Natsu on Tenrou he was crying and wondering when he was going to see him. Zeref backstory kinda reminded me of Honhenheim's story from Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood being the last person alive in the academy/town. Fairy tail is a great story on its own merit. It has a solid cast and great cosmology. The world building and power systems only get better with 100 years quest finally out. Can't wait till you guys figure out the rest of the story. Even though you missed out on key episodes which are canon and are subtlety referenced in the final season (Erza and Bisca backstory, Gray and Juvia 413 days, ect)
