Think about it they keep saying he's inexperience but no one is teaching him anything they are listening to his ideas and on top of that they don't tell him anything. He's the king, they are fighting a war using he's name the least they could do is respect and put in the of his movement. All he want to do is do something, now you guys have a plan and you don't tell me how should I know. The conversation he had with his mom pushed him even further than all the belittles he been going through. 2024-07-09 14:23:55 +0000 UTCIf this episode proved anything...... it's that Vhagar isn't invincible. She's very old and very slow. Meleys actually got the upper hand in the fight and was able to drop Vhagar, and had it not been for the sneak attack (same moved that was used against Luke) Meleys could have probably won. It's also crazy cuz had Rhaenys listened to Daemon in the first episode and went with him to 2v1 Vhagar, they would have won. This whole season so far, they put Daemon on the back burner to show us that now that he is gone Team Black is in disarray.

2024-07-09 07:15:49 +0000 UTCI would say the Greens lost more if you think about it, Rook's Rest was already declared a strategically insignificant stronghold, their entire goal was to draw out and dwindle Rhaenyra's dragons, they succeeded but at the cost of their King, their army, and their grip on the Crownlands. Losing Rhaeny's and Maelys is a blow but they hardly made up a quarter of Rhaenyra's fighting force while the Greens have been essentially cut at the knees.

Right now it appears like Rhaenys fought valiantly and struck a critical blow to the Greens even in her defeat, if she fled what's stopping Aegon and Aemond from making a pincer strike on the unprepared Dragonstone just across the bay? Her efforts here singlehandedly cut Cole's advance on the Crownlands as now he has to retreat to Kings Landing escorting Aegon.

She went out fighting trying to damage a major problem knowing it was suicide. There was no other dragon/dragon rider with experience to go up against Vhagar

They injured Aegon and his dragon and eliminated most of the host Cole gathered for the Greens. Meleys and Rhaenys were experienced in battle. Sending inexperienced riders with inexperienced young dragons would’ve resulted in Vaegar taking out multiple of their dragons and dragonriders

Rhaenys died and the castle was taken after half of it was destroyed but the Green also lost half the army they formed while their king suffered badly with his dragon. The only dragons the greens have left are vhaegar and dreamfyre while the blacks have more dragons. They have caraxes, daemon's dragon, vermithor, the dragon Daemon was singing to last season which is also big, syrax, rhaenery's dragon, vermax, Jace's dragon, and moondancer, baela's dragon. The blacks also have unclaimed dragons like Seasmoke and others in Dragonstone. This is just the beginning of the dance of dragons.

It is said that Aegon got burnt so badly that his armor melted and fused into his flesh leaving him in agonizing pain.
