2024-06-25 15:31:49 +0000 UTCLucy is a great character. From the beginning of the series (post Battle of Fairy Tail arc) Jason has been there. She's been reading the magazine since she was little and infatuated with Fairy Tail. It's not like this plot line popped out of nowhere. From the beginning of the Day break/ Everlue mansion mini arc, we knew she was writing a novel and she had zero confidence in herself. She's even been writing letters to her dead mom, narrating the story and it's a smart way to do mini recaps. This episode is just improving her writing skills and does help carry the final arc in the end. It's kinda crazy how we ask for information about what happened in timeskips with other works but once we get it people complain about it. We see her even improve her analytics skills at the start she drew herself a chart of where Fairy tail members staked up but from seeing the series she was dead wrong. Her being at the tournament and being able to tell that people might be holding back or not. She's smart and the Mangaka is showing it with her detective skills and knowledge of history and ancient languages (we know there's a lot of different languages from Levy translating and breaking spells) Lucy is one of the best female leads in shonen but not everyone is up for that discussion. Yes I do believe that she loses her clothes way too often but in terms of writing and involvement she's a cut above the rest. We've seen her at her lowest and currently we're seeing her highs in the final arc and 100 years quest going forward.
