This was fantastic and very well executed series. This show made me really appreciate Magneto and Cyclops a lot more. Can't wait for season 2. I really hope the writer who got fired can get re-hired (assuming he did not get fired for anything crazy when it gets revealed). At the very least glad to know he worked on season 2 before that, so I expect it will be good.

Also that wasn't T'Challa, that was his father T'Chaka. I don't think they had the rights to use T'Challa so they went with his father instead. Another thing is that all the Avengers, even T'Chaka were against using the Magneto protocols in that scene, but the decision is ultimately the President's and he chose to go forward with it and that's why Cap looked sad.

I like how this episode subverted our expectations. We all thought Dark Phoenix was coming but Jean was able to tap into Phoenix's power without completely losing herself ( I still think Dark Phoenix will appear), we also all thought Onslaught was coming, but Xavier was able to pull Magneto back without that happening (even though they left it open to where it can still happen). The only thing that bothered me was them trying to talk no jutsu to Bastion, and how everyone basically got right on board with each other after just fighting it out without any complaints. Also the humans being stupid as hell for firing nukes at the Asteroid and then being shocked and scared that it's now falling on them and having no plan to stop it, leaving it to the X-Men yet again to handle it. Also Magneto not acknowledging ANY of his kids at all, even though they were shown on the boat in his subconscious too. But even though this episode had a few problems here and there, it was still great and I can't wait for Apocalypse.

The opening really does spoil what's going to happen in the season doesn't it? This was a perfect season of television, and season two has it's work cut out for it.
