2024-04-22 22:44:21 +0000 UTCPretty much the first instance, any metal vessel is able to turn into the weapon of the djinn but you are able to manipulate the weapon into a different shape, like how Alibaba was able to condense his sword to make it small. So take for example Hakuei's metal vessel, before she transforms it it's just a fan but when she equips herself it turns into Paimon's weapon which is the staff like weapon. Sinbad's djinn equip doesn't require him to use a weapon because the djinn itself doesn't have a weapon of choice.

But isn't that more so just coincidence on what the metal user chose to contain the wind Djinn? For example, let's say if Hakuei happened to be attached to a ring instead of her fan to contain Paimon. Would the ring turn into a staff, or would should be hands free like Sinbad?

Hakuei's djinn equip weapon is a staff like object and Sinbad's wind djinn equip doesn't have a weapon, he creates tornadoes from his hands. Both are able to create tornadoes but Hakuei creates one giant one and Sinbad creates two with his hands.
