Weak Hero Class 1 Ep 6
Added 2024-04-19 03:00:29 +0000 UTCSorry for the delay...this episode was nuts so we can understand the anticipation. Beom-Seok is a full blown corn ball.

2024-08-18 16:12:51 +0000 UTCthe writing was def not bad and it wasn't really a 360, it was a build up, bc , its what evan said he feels insecure, BUT on top of all his trauma and abuse he's not thinking clear ( which rob was the main one pointing that out to evan but dismissing this time, until he remembered the dad, which isn't the only thing) , and jerrys point too of him starting to drink and feel cool with these other dudes plays a factor too, and ofc the dad but i don't know what that is about rn, so all these things got Beom making dumb decisions not realizing what the consequences of his actions can be, as well as, taking action with the people whos he's around who are a terrible influence and have grudges against his old friends and clearly don't care about the consequences of their actions and are bullies. its just sad to see and he needs to see it, sucks he did all this fr

2024-04-19 21:34:20 +0000 UTCBum Seok has a lot of trauma and insecure issues that cause him to resent Soo Hoo who calls him out on his behavior. In his mind, Soo Hoo is the bad guy to justify his reasons like getting hardcore revenge on his former bullies. Bum Seok always blames others for his own problems and wants to be a king. It's not bad writing when he isn't the right state of mind.

2024-04-19 17:40:17 +0000 UTCBeom-Seok had already reached his limit. Soo-Ho just happened to be the last straw and catalyst. He's the last thing that ''hurt'' him which is why Beom-Seok resents him so much (but it's not because Beom-Seok actually views Soo-Ho as his enemy). Don't try to rationalize trauma and anger since there's rarely ever anything logical about them Rob. At least once in their life, everyone has unfairly projected their anger onto an innocent person. I'm not trying to justify Beom-Seok's behavior, I'm just trying to tell you that the writers did not exactly make a mistake there. These are just things viewers should figure out by themselves.

2024-04-19 15:20:04 +0000 UTCBeom-Seok's history of abuse is so extreme that it wouldn't be surprising if he developed extreme violent tendencies. Ever since the bullies started validating his behavior, it's as if all sense of restraint dissipated. Let's also not forget that he has been high on drugs and alcohol ever since. So, his sudden change in attitude is not that crazy (although I do think this part could've been written better/like we're not sure how much time passed between ep 5 and 6). But attempting to kill Soo Ho is next level of insanity though, so in a way I do see what Rob is saying. It doesn't make sense that Beom-Seok would want to kill Soo Ho. But, the reason is probably that Beom-Seok can't stand up to his actual abusers so he looks for the next closest thing to them.

2024-04-19 08:41:35 +0000 UTCi get what rob is saying, bumseok went from just being bitter and unfollowing sooho on ig to attempted murder in just one episode so i get why the pacing might seem off but again it all comes back to his trauma and history of abuse. he’s obviously not thinking straight and is going by some warped version of reality he has made up in his head... even so i don’t think he was actively trying to kill sooho in this episode. like pat said, he’s moving purely by anger and resentment. he’s only thinking of the consequences afterwards. like when he stood there looking stupid while sooho is lying there on the ground injured after they cut his brakes but then you see him the next day and he doesn’t look regretful at all when he sees sooho limping back to class? that’s all bc after the initial shock wears off he doesn’t come back to his senses and reflect on what he had done like a rational human being would, instead he goes right back to concocting his diabolical plan. he always finds some sort of justification as to why sooho is the “bad guy” and why what he’s doing to him is right… thats just how trauma has rewired his brain unfortunately and portraying the character like this seems very intentional on the writers part

2024-04-19 05:24:20 +0000 UTCLike other ppl said, Bum-Seok has a extereme inferiority complex and wants to be the leader/king of the group. If he wants to do something, he wants everyone in the group to do as told. He started befriending this new group bc they let him do what he wanted beat the shit out of his old bullies and he got to do the highschool cool stuff, going to the club, going out with girls etc. Thats why you can see him being mad confused when they didnt listen to him this ep. Also the reason he is this heated about Soo-ho is purely emotional, he's honestly blindsighted and everyone in his new group has been pilling onto his anger about Soo-ho

2024-04-19 04:20:52 +0000 UTCI completely agree. His change makes sense to me tbh. I think it seems like it's happening so fast because this season is supposed to be a backstory to what happens in season 2. In the webtoon, they showed this situation in a short backstory midway into the story.

2024-04-19 04:13:19 +0000 UTCHonestly, Beom-Seok has an extreme inferiority complex due to bullying and abuse. So, when Soo-ho would do things like put his arm around him (his bullies used to do that to him), push him, and tell him what to do, Beom-Seok felt like he was treating him like his underling. Combined with the fact that he felt left out of the group (seeing pictures of them on IG hanging out without him), it felt like he wasn't truly in the friend group. All of this caused him to resent Soo-Ho. So, when the other guys started validating his negative feelings toward Son-Ho and doing all the things with him that he wanted to do with OG friend group, Beom-Seok wanted to start hanging out with them. The biggest turning point was probably when Soo-Ho pushed him because to him that validated his feelings that Soo-Ho was just like the other bullies. TBH Beom-Seok is taking out his anger on the wrong people, which usually happens with people with trauma and inferiority complex. Instead of taking it out on the people who deserve it, his dad and his bullies, he takes it out on the "easier" targets. I completely get why y'all hate him because Si-Eun and Soo-Ho do not deserve to deal with all this bs just because Beom-Seok has problems. They have did nothing but stand by his side, but he is choosing fake friends over real ones. He is real corny for taking it this far. They could have just went their separate ways and moved on. Very unfortunate

2024-04-19 03:57:21 +0000 UTCthem cutting suho’s BRAKES knowing his ass can DIE just because they’re scared he can win is so crazy to me every time i see them do it 😭😭 like bro what???? let’s say suho’s does get “a penalty” and wooyoung “wins” because of that then suho is just gonna beat their asses ten times worse once he heals 😭😭 i think bumseok’s change makes sense. the point is bumseok wants to feel powerful and feels inferior. it all goes back to his father and now he sees suho as an extension of his dad. i get feeling like it went a little fast though.
