2024-05-28 05:34:41 +0000 UTCThe best way i think of time in this context is that, everything that ever happens/happened was fixed, up until something irregular happens with time (such as something or someone travelling through time). So, for example. Since Lucy jumped back 4 days, everything that happened before she turned up in the past was fixed, but everything between that day and the day she left the future (in this case, that 4 day span) becomes changeable (the 10,000 dragons for example). And in Rogues case, everything from the day he entered the past up until 7 years from now, when he left, becomes changeable too, such as Frosch and Stings death. This avoids the paradox: since the gate was destroyed in X791, Rogue was never able to use it to go to the past in X798. But if Rogue never used the gate in X798, they never had a reason to destroy it in X791, which means it wouldnt have been destroyed (at least not then) meaning Rogue COULD use it in X798, and boom, you have a paradox

And Natsu may have destroyed the gate but he got help from the fire dragon’s flames and Lucy and Yukino did a lil damage to help Natsu finish the gate off.

2024-03-27 05:02:34 +0000 UTCI feel like the emotional scenes like future lucy dying and meeting up with her ft in heaven are a big part of what makes people love this anime but these guys seem to miss or brush over a lot of the emotional scenes and not feel very much for the characters. Big fans of the show know its flawed and not the best written but the attachment to the characters is the biggest thing, so I don't see them enjoying it more down the line if they're not that into it rn

Future Lucy still died and that scene is ultimately supposed to represent her going to heaven and returning to her friends hence why most of the guild isn’t able to be fully seen other than Natsu and Happy. She’s back with her friends and can continue to go on adventures which is what she wanted.

What we saw was essentially her being ushered into the afterlife with her Natsu and original fairy tail. Also, you won't be laughing when you find out who's meant to kill Frosch and the circumstances around it. You'll gain a new respect for the character who will do it. That's all I can say without spoiling anything. Edit: Also this is prob non-canon, but if you pay attention to the endings 15 and 16, you'll see that ED 16 depicts Lucy joining Natsu in the afterlife, while ED 15 shows them reuniting in what appears to be the real word, implying that they were reincarnated.
