Go back to the scene with Abuela and Pedro fleeing the militia… That’s based on Colombian history and is what makes this such a great film about generational trauma, especially among refugee families. ❤️

The maker of the music for this movie was Lin Manuel Miranda, he has a very distinct music sound so if you're interested in any of his other projects, I suggest watching Hamilton, the Broadway play that is also on Disney+. It's a live musical so I don't know if Pat would enjoy it, lol. But I also think you guys would enjoy the songs in that one as well.
