Also yes I include villains in my top X-Men characters and if you actually read the comics Wolverine doesn’t even come close to top 5 X-Men characters, he just doesn’t.

He is by no means a better fighter than Ajax is in here, in fact if they fought Ajax would probably win because Wolverine is more animalistic/beserk with his fighting whereas Ajax is more combat efficient. In a hand to hand fight, Wolverine couldn't even beat Cyclops. Also Wade always had the mutant gene, it just never fully manifested itself before his experimentation, and having the cancer in his body when he underwent the experiment is the reason why he's so fucked in the head. It's also why the X-Men can never fully allow him on the team, because even though he would be a great addition, he's too unpredictable.
