2023-12-18 07:07:22 +0000 UTCThe arc that is being referred to in regards to that is the Key of the Starry Heaven’s arc. (It always gets brought up due to the Zentopia stuff and certain character’s roles in the arc being referenced in the manga). Obviously no one is asking them to skip GMG.

I thought that arc was fun and I feel like it really fits in with the story (didn't even know it was a filler when I watched it). But it might be to silly at times for them during some parts so idk.

He’s one of the only non-dragon slayers in the guild that has an ultimate attack (and he’s had it from the get-go) but he can’t ever use it to show how powerful he actually is since it would kill him.

Don't get me wrong though, Tenrou Island is nowhere near Marineford, it's just that a lot of information gets dropped and new important characters are introduced.

Hey, but no one said you have to be the strongest to win a fight. She didn't give up, didn't panic, saw an opportunity and seized it. He didn't expect any of that, was out of magic power, and so he lost, that's it.

Like even before the trial started she actually hasn’t even see any of them once. Legit a pretty good way to show what an S-Class Wizard should be capable of on their own how they make decisions in battle and then to compare and contrast it with Natsu’s and Gray’s actions throughout the arc.

Other then the obvious design similarities, they are both presented as powerful figures in their world/guild who the MC wants to surpass. If you really wanted to get into it, Gildarts has displayed power beyond what Shanks has done in the series so far.
