It appears to start out easy and OP, but in reality each victory and easy win comes with a secret cost that builds to a bigger problem down the line. Such as Tempest getting all these great deals pissing off Falmuth, and Rimuru being so successful that he now actually has something important to lose. The scaling is also higher than it seems and a lot of the plots against Rimuru are slow burns setup in advance behind the scenes
